I too have failed many times. I have to admit though that I have still managed to find a way to get in 3 quarts of amazing juice everyday. Green juices, fruit juices and a mix of both. I have never done this much juice before and the minerals, nutrients, vitamins... wow! I think that I have avoided the deadly flu going around because of juicing. I normally get every bug that goes around and I get it bad with my asthma creating a huge problem (even hospitalizing me a few times when I was struggling to breathe). The juice feast is really important to me and I really want to do this. It is so important for me to get the crud out of my system completely. I was eating a really on again off again raw diet for the last 3 months and juicing has really pushed me to raw when I do eat. I wanted to "Global Feast" with the group and finish with the group. I can't change what is behind me, all I can do is live in the moment and juice for today. So, TODAY I AM A JUICE FEASTER! ;) So pull yourself up and lets go Maisy!

Maisy, you have not failed, you have learned more about yourself from this. I tried to juicefeast before and could never get beyond the 1st day without eating! The support and information found in this community has been and continues to be the most embracing. We are all in this together, keep juicing, for with each quart you drink you are that much closer to a healthier you!

There is no such thing as failure.....only results!!! Congrats on what you did accomplish!

just a quick note as i've come late to this discussion and a lot of good points have already been made, i'd simply like to add that the word 'failure' is simply a word, it's a label we attach to an outcome we didn't expect. So, reframe your self talk into thinking about the situation as a 'result' then think about the lessons in that outcome. Hope that helps and remember, when children learn to walk, they fall, get up, fall, get up 100's of times before they successfully walk - the difference being when we become adults, we're embarrassed so tend to give up to soon or move onto something else rather than stay the course and succeed. Finally, naturopathic principles say to listen to your body and cooperate, if you eat so what, just do it by choice.

I too have felt a failure after eating at day 10. This is the second time I've tried the first time I only got to day 7.
Normally when i feel I have failed I sink into the back ground and never go back to weigh watchers or to what ever diet I am on at the time but this time I decided to come back and face the music so to speak and i had just finished writting on my page about my end to the feast when i saw this discussion. I'm so glad i did...it has given me much hope and more of the will to try again. You can do it....I can do it. With so much support for the first time i fell yes eventually I really will do this.
Thank you for being honest and talking about breaking your feast. It has helped me alot.
cheers and good luck

Sadness doesn't come from what you did. It comes from what you DIDN'T do.
Underneath the sadness is a COMMITMENT....Whatever that commitment is what needs to be listened to and when it gets listened to and heard the sadness will disappear. Listen to your sadness. It is an invaluable tool to keep yourself accountable to what you are committed to. Don't use it as a weapon or a reason to make yourself wrong. If sadness shows up...notice that you are sad and ask yourself... OK... I'm sad... Now what am I commitmed to that I didn't get?? Once you answer the question you will know exactly why you are sad and will know exactly what you need to do from there. Sadness is your friend . Don't make it or yourself wrong. Listen to it and wait for the answers...

Remember, one day at a time. Perhaps change your goal. Get the hang of it then extend your goal as you go along. When you're feeling sad, tell yourself that it shall pass and the next day is a new day.

Dear Maisy,
please do not see yourself as a 'faliure'.
You have found the juice path, and that in itself is a great success.
Each of us has our own unique, personal journey in Life.
Sometimes that journey is full of steep hills and challenges.
- But it would not be the special journey that it is, without some challenges.

These potholes and obstacles are usually there for a reason.

Sometimes we see the fastest and most direct route as 'the best'. This is especially true in today's fast- paced society. Where quickness of getting there is everything and the wonderful views en- route are not even noticed.

So it is not necessarily the case that the fastest route is always 'the best'.
Sometimes we learn as much, if not more, from the detours on our journey than from the easier bits.

Take the quickest way from A to B and we may miss out on the beauty of C.

Your journey is really special to you and you really are doing well; adversity really does present the opportunity to become stronger.

Wishing you the best in all your adventures.
Love and peace,
from Anne XX.

Hi Masie,,

In the first 10 days I had several eating episodes, once it was lentils and quinoa a small amount, another evening it was a handful of potatoes, I just kept on going. I don't call them failures but hiccups....I didn't restart my count I just kept on going. You are fine even trying to do this and wanting to clean out your system is a huge accomplishment. I send you a warm hug and a big smile. xo Dea

Hi Maisey,

How are you doing today?

Don't be too hard on your self, try congratulating yourself on how far you have come. Any amount of Juice Feasting is a success, even one day.
When you begin your Juice Feasting Journey again, try to take it one juice and one day at a time, its great to have a goal of July 31st, but sometimes that can be too overwhelming as you may be focusing on how many days you have left. Really enjoy the process of totally cleansing and rebuilding your body, mind and spirit. Remember, nobody Juice Feasts for 92 days, just take it one one quart at a time.

It might be a good idea to reflect on what you were doing when you broke your fast. What were the circumstances that led up to it. You may notice a pattern or recognize something about the thoughts you are having.

Every time you get tempted to eat, pick up the phone and call a friend, put on your favorite song and dance around the room, have another Juice, eat some Bee Pollen, or simply think about WHY you wanted to Juice Feast in the first place and what amazing life transforming benefits you are going to gain by continuing your journey.

I thought about food almost every day for the first 10 days. I cooked for my family everyday of my juice 50 day juice feast and what really kept me inspired was staying connected with the Juice Feasting community. Reading other juice feasters posts. You may even want to consider hiring a Juice Feasting Consultant.

You are a magnificent being and are undertaking a heroes journey, please try to focus on how far you came. In life you always have the opportunity to 'begin again' and each time you do, you are becoming stronger.
