On the video posted today, the Day 31 video, David mentions doing the coffee enema and holding it for 15 min. to get the liver to release bile. How do I know if I have/am releasing bile? Probably a silly question :)
Thank you Tuliza! I did 5 tablespoons for 24 ounces of water - I'll fix the ratio next time. I can see how the liver detox could make those symptoms, as I still have them to a certain degree. My stomach has been very topsy turvy ever since & I have felt somewhat achey & full high up in my intestines. I did an enema last night with just a small amount of water & it released so much fluid - much more than normal, which I am pretty sure was from the liver. It released the achey feeling as well. I'm still somewhat jittery & nauseous. Thanks for posting.
I've been having a colonic every weekend and she has been putting
coffee in toward the end. A good colon hydro-therapist can tell you
if you are releasing a lot of bile. I also got out a lot of musous and
flakey-looking stuff that she felt was candida. The coffee enema was
amazing!
I have already tried to prematurely :)) start this kind of discussion a few days ago (it is on page 6 of discussions now)... I am very caffeine sensitive and was afraid that this enema would make me jittery. That wasn't the case. The key is to follow the protocol (it is, I believe, on day 8 in David's files on juicefeasting.com) - or just look up Gerson therapy online. Take a regular enema before coffee one, then you will be able to lay down for 10-15 min and hold coffee with no problem. Do it laying on your right site in fetal position and DO NOT move for 15 min, otherwise they say coffee may move to your small intestines and get absorbed improperly - that's when you may experience 'i had 5 espresso shots' effect. And no, I have never tried doing enema in the afternoon.

Thanks for the info Irina. How much coffee did you use? Volume wise I mean. I read it's 3 tbsp coffee to a quart of water, but how many quarts do you make and use roughly?
Christine,
yes, I boil coffee for 3'/simmer for 20' in 1 quart of water, some water evaporates, so I add back to quarter and the end. There is no need for more because the idea is not to do enema but let coffee to be absorbed, right?.
Mystic Merman, I also have had more mucus like stuff coming out with some flakes. Hopefully I am experiencing the same thing.
Irina, thank you very much. I did not lay down, I was sitting down in another room to pass the time (actually online probably reading blogs here) I will definitely follow the correct protocol next time.
Thanks again to everyone for keeping this discussion going. I am usually pretty well prepared for anything I do - except for this :)
Thanks Becca for bringing this discussion. I just did my first coffee enema and I was a little bit worried because I was always to sensitive for coffee. But this morning I felt ok afterwards. For me it was difficult during the enema time. I was just not able to hold the liquid for more than 1 minut.I had to let it out, it was to painful ! I am wondering if one can get used to it and actually hold it longer ?
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
