Just wanted to say hi to everyone, and see how everyone is doing!
Most of you know I have had a few ups and downs on this juice feast. But I'm still hanging in there.
There hasn't been a lot of forum activity so I thought I would start a discussion just to see where everyone is, what day you all are on, and how your journey is transpiring!
Well, I would love to hear from you all!
~Alicia~
Hello Brock! Great to hear from you as well!
Well, it sounds like you are doing great!
You should post some updated photos!
I am looking forward to seeing day 38, and 39 myself!
You and Mark keep paving the way for the rest of us!

I did the first 15 days, came off it in 4 days, then went on a road trip for 20 days on the west coast where I ate lots of fruits + salads + mexican food ( ! ). I resumed the juice feast this Monday. This brings me to day 4 of my second feast! I am very happy to be juicing again. Yeah, it's a challenge, but the good stuff it provides is unmatchable!
I am feeling very fluid and up for going to the end with all the global juice feasters.
Hi everyone - I have just joined and really appreciate that this support network exists - I am on Day 5 of my feast and can't believe how quickly the benefits are happening! I have some questions and wondered if anyone can answer them:
1) Should oil be taken away from juice?
2) Has anyone juiced Nettles? They are starting to grow and are at their most nutritious phase....
3) Is it necessary to take the Cascara Sagrada? I have been suffering with IBS for a few years but always the diarhea kind. So I have never had a problem with constipation but wondered if i therefore would not need the herb?
4) If juicing wheatgrass or barley grass fresh, what is the daily dosage?
Hi Pema and welcome,
You can take the oil by itself. I prefer to take it in my green juice. Either way it is effective. You don't have to take the Cascara Sagrada. You can do more frequent enemas instead. I haven't taken the herb at all. Nettles are a perfect food. I haven't juiced them because the don't grow in the southwest desert. If they did, I would be juicing them everyday. That standard dose for wheatgrass is 1 ounce any more than that can cause nausea. I hope this helps. Happy Day 5.
Hi Alicia,
I am doing well. I am on Day 55 and feeling amazing. I am wishing you well also. I have only been posting every other day. I haven't been on my computer much these days. Lots of busy stuff going on with me lately. I'm sending you lots of blessing on your juice feasting journey. Happy Juicing to you!
Today is 68 for me and it really feels like my body is finally starting to adjust. After a bit of a "cleansing crisis" last week, my hunger and energy is back and I'm just givin'er!
My boyfriend is concerned that I'm taking it too far ("moderation is better" he says) but after a couple years of being limited by stomach pain and back pain, and generally just being a hermit at my computer, I am really loving staying busy. I couldn't do it without him and I have no way to express to him how appreciative I am that he is willing to spend a lot of time making me juice while I dance around between massages, hair appointments, colonics, bodytalk, reiki, yoga, clubbing and shopping!
Yoga has felt like it's been a large part of my change in attitude. I am sitting up straighter and imagining that what I am consuming is helping to feed and heal my compressed lumbar disc. Some days I've been doing 2 classes a day and am arranging my schedule to try and fit more in! I'm looking forward to when juicing is over and I can take early morning classes.
I didn't weigh myself before the feast (although now I wish I did!) but at my last doctor's appointment sometime in January I was at 160lbs and when I hopped on the scale before my colonic, it read 130lbs. I don't know how accurate that is because I sure don't feel that different - it feels like part of it is just not having a big meal in there...all the time!
other than that I still have some breakouts, oily patches and crazy dry itchy bits and it seems like my skin is taking part in the detox in a significant way. I still have a headache daily but that is normal for me.
I love being able to check in here and on the blogs to hear how everyone else is doing and to listen to some great stories! THANK YOU EVERYONE :)
Day 38 here. Getting close to half time!
I feel OK...good to be exact heh. I wouldn't run my regular running route, but I still do run about 1/2 or 3/4 of my regular lengths. My main goal is just to work out a little bit everyday. I'd love to try Yoga but it's not in my pocketbook right now.
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…
Hello,

I lost 15 pounds after suffering from a long period of nausea and headaches which were resolved by adopting a largely raw food diet. However, I lost 15 pounds and have not gained it back -- and I was thin to begin with. I intuitively feel a juice fa…

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
