Global Juice Feast

Hey everyone, I noticed that raw foods recipes are dime a dozen on the net, but juice recipes, especially juice feasting recipes are pretty rare. So I thought it would help of we started a thread of combos/recipes to use for the feast.

My favorite so far is Celery/Spinach/Parsley/Cucumber/Pear. This combo is particularly cleansing and helps if your GIT is a little backed up since pear juice is a mild laxative. It's also delish! The spinach and one whole cucumber make up the bulk in my mix, and one pear is enough to add a nice sweet flavor. Then 3 sticks of organic celery (I use leaves, bases and all) and 4 sprigs of parsley for the rest.

Post up everyone. Cheers!

My two very favorite, never fail to put a smile on my face recipes are:

Carrot/Apple/Beet/Ginger
2 lbs carrots
1 med apple
1 med beet with the greens
1 inch ginger root
makes about 24-30 ounces

Pineapple/Greens/Celery/Mint
1/2 a pineapple
1 head greens - I particularly like spinach or red chard
1 head celery
big handful of fresh mint
makes about 34-40 ounces

I tried the blender and nutmilk bag method with softer fruits, but the juice was way too watered down tasting. I guess I'm just used to the richness of flavor with an actual juice extractor. So I'm using my Juice Man II for all my juices and trying to stay with stuff it can handle. It's 15 years old but still makes more juice than most of the cheaper juicers out there. I really want an Omega 3000, but I'm just glad my old one is holding up for now. ;))

I just created a wonderful, delicious concoction! A garden variety!

2-4 oz (or more) wheatgrass
1/2 lbs spinach
12 asparagus spears
a bunch of multi-colored carrots with tops (about 8)
1/2 head of celery
1-2 apples
1-2 plum tomatoes

Organic Watermelon Juice is my favorite with the green rind juiced in!
I also love canteloupe, grapefruit, pear, and lime......
grapefruit, cucumber, celery, and kale- This is what I drink every day.
cilantro, pineapple, jalapeno, and mixed greens......
coconut water--I sometimes add yellow curry and cayenne.....
cinnamon, apple, and coconut- this is good alone and with greens.
I sometimes add cayenne for a spicy cinnamon drink!....
Fresh raspberries, lemon, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, and lecithin
pomegranate juice.....
cucumber water....
Spicy Tom Salsa- heirloom tomatoes- green and purple, tons of cilantro, celery, red onion, jalapeno, cucumber, garlic, lime, yellow or red bell pepper, and spinach.....add a little salt...
Spicy Cilantro Lime- Coconut Water, spinach, cilantro, lime, garlic, poblano pepper--
I would add an ancho chili to this but you cant juice a dried pepper!

Oh yes, the elusive salsa plant...grows only in Mexico. *blush*

I meant to write 'one bunch of cilantro', rather than 'salsa'. Sorry!
