Global Juice Feast

I'm curious how all of the Global Juice Feasters are post feast. I saw how some of you broke your feast, but how is it going now? How are you eating? How much weight have you gained back? How do you feel? Have the improvements and changes you saw during the feast remained? Do you incorporate juice in your diet now?

Wow, no replies. I hope that doesn't mean there were no lasting improvements!

I've been watching this thread hoping that someone would reply. I 'only' feasted for 42 days, but it was a wonderful experience. I was raw vegan for over 2 yrs before the feast and was eating a fairly high fruit, low fat diet with lots of greens and seaweed. Since I stopped feasting, I did a couple of weeks on just juices, smoothies and salads which was good, but right now I feel all at sea. I'm not drawn to as much fruit as I used to eat. Bananas are looking particularly unappealing. The seaweed is proving hard to digest and I prefer juices to smoothies. I'm not good with fatty, gourmet foods, but I WANT to eat solids. Have added a few steamed veggies to my salads to settle my stomach which is very churny, and have even had a few organic but non-raw crackers which I'm finding easier to digest than raw.

I'm hoping I'll settle back into more of a routine before long. Would love to hear how other people are doing.

Vx

PS - I still feel very well. Doing lots of running and have a clear head. It's just my tummy that's unsettled.

Do not fear Allison -- us four Victoria juice feasters who have broken our feasts either sometime between the 1st to 16th of June, are all doing, eating and feeling really well -- and better yet, tomorrow we've got another JuiceLuck planned to check in with this community and provide a video update on our statuses. As for myself, I'm eating really simply - salads, with hemp hearts and dressed with Apple Cider vinegar and olive oil. I dehydrated some mango, which I eat sparingly, and sometimes make fruit juice for breakfast. Smoothies are seeming too thick -- but just wait to the salads! Wow! I savor every bite with my newly heightened taste buds! Oh! and kalamata olives -- realized I was having too many of them...but then came to the realization that it was the salt I was craving - so I add a pinch of unrefined celtic sea salt to my salads and I'm in seventh heaven! Weight? Maybe a pound, maybe even two -- but nothing really...this being said from the perspective of having feasted on 2 litres a day! So the improvements are definitely lasting -- i feel like I'm getting more nutrition these days! All's well!

OK then...I'm eating not so well!
I went to Europe 3 days after breaking my feast and things went downhill from there~ I'd mostly been seen out late with a pastry in my left and a drink in my right...frequenting beergardens, sandwich stores and what not. Raw food was only for breakfast, then I ate bread related stuff that I'd been craving for years and some traditional dishes...also some dairy (but no meat, that's something I will really not do cause it doesn't taste good for me).

I felt good, which I attribute to being in good shape thanks to the feast. But I had the runs for the whole week. On the last day, I swear I would have gotten sick if I ate one more piece of baked goods! After I landed, I went straight to Whole Foods to get me some dandelion and had a good liter of that this morning...and a salad sitting here on my desk for lunch.

So here's hoping that after the food pendulum swung from Juice Feast all the way to junk food it will come to a good center position for me.
I'm still 100% sure that it can be attributed to the JF that I still had tons of energy, no jetlag etc., actually the trip was not all party but I had paperworks and visits to offices to do everyday and I did it without anxiety and on time (which means a lot of u know me haha)

So there! :)

It's been 31 days since I broke my juice feast and I have returned to a 100% vegan raw lifestyle of which I maintain strictly. I gained about 6 pounds and recently lost 2 pounds. I believe when I incorporated fats and nuts back into my diet, they like to stick around for a while. They are the good fats , which are important, however, I don't need as much as I do greens and fruit to feel satisfied. I still drink a quart of lemon water with MSM every morning and have at least one quart of juice or a smoothie a day. I keep it very simple. I have tried experimenting with recipes from some of my raw food books. I am still feeling fantastic, however, I miss the euphoria I felt while juice feasting. My skin is still very clear and I love my new, slender and healthy body. I feel as if I am in my twenties again. I'm going for the 92 Day Global Juice Feast again in 2009. Whoo hoo!!!

1 week post juice feast and I feel fantastic. I am satisfied with so little! Huge news for an ex emotional overeater such as me!
I went away for the weekend and took a mini blender with me, bought greens and had bananas, apricots, mangoes blended and made green smoothies while away. My boyfriend ate regular food and by day 2 was asking for green shakes too, he says he just doesn't feel good if he has the classic Italian breakfast of croissants and coffee and milk anymore, he prefers a green shake. This is wonderful. I am digesting beautifully, food is no longer a primary obsession in my life and I attribute this to my body being reprogrammed thanks to the juice feast.

Last night my first night back in Marsala, I ate 1/2 an organic baby watermelon, it felt soooo good! One year ago it would have sounded outlandishly wacky the idea of having a mono meal for dinner!

I've done very well juicing mornings and afternoons, eating mono fruit meals for lunch with about an ounce of raw nuts, and a huge salad at night!!! Loving it and have maintained my weight loss!1
