Hi feasters - I am just wondering how many out there are 50 and older who are feasting. I started February 16th and plan on doing at least 60 days if not more. Wondering if there are other 50+ folks out there. - Randy
Hi
I am Sharon & I am 48. I am on day 7 & am loving it. I feel so good! Been exercising 1 1/2 hrs a day lightly - swimming, biking, walking, yoga etc. I think the hardest thing for me is the social thing. Last year I did 60 days & loved it. In Jan 2009 I did the whole month 30 days.
Hi Sharon, I know what you mean about the social thing. You can't really invite a bunch of people over for juice (or can you?) . I started Feb 16. but had a food relapse one weekend. Been back at it since March 2. I'm hoping to do 6 days this time. - Randy
Hi There,
I'm also over 50 - 52 to be exact. Never too late to feast. I'm on Day 13 and have had great improvements so far. Weight loss of about 15 pounds, feeling great, etc. Wish I had done this 20 years ago.
Blessings to all of you,
Tomi
Hi, This is Kat in Kansas City, MO. I am only doing a month this time. But last year I did the entire 92-Day and I will be 52 in May. Sure don't look like it, feel like or "act like it", whatever that's supposed to mean anyway, LOL!
I am 53 going on 54 and did about 2 weeks of juice feasting, fell off the wagon and am back on...Day 2 now....I am like KatBowie...I don't look or feel my age....esp when juice feasting and eating raw foods. I did 17 days last year, felt great...don't know why I stopped.....do hope to go at least a month if not two if not the whole 92 yards.....so I'm here, Huckleberry.
It looks like there are a few of us that are 50 and over and doing well on the juice feast. I'm on day 24 myself and feeling great. I'm hoping to do at least 60 days. I have a college reunion the end of April and that is one of my primary motivations for starting the feast. But now - feeling this good is a great motivation to stay on it. - Randy
My own father was 69 when I Juice Feasted him for 90 Days. He lost almost 50 lbs, and stayed out of back surgery. What is great about Juice Feasting for those of us who have been around the sun more times is that it not only cleanses, but rebuilds mineral stores by virtue of drinking 4+ Quarts of Juice each day.
I'm over 55 and feelin' fine on this, my first Juice Feast. I love the positive benefits and am always seeking new ways to retain my health, youth and vitality- I'm lovin' this!
Going to be turning 53 in early June and I am ready for a juice feast. Got introduced to juicing in ' 75 when my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and only given 3 weeks to 3 months to live. She did raw foods and lots of juice and lived another 33 years! Now it is my turn to follow in her footsteps as I have been diagnosed with a couple of 'strange' dis-eases. So my fast starts spring equinox! so wish me luck!!!
Best of luck man. I have been feasting for 26 days now and and am beginning to feel the positive effects. I'm hoping to make 60 days and then slide into a raw lifestyle.
You can do it...then I know you know that....and I am so glad you know where to turn when those 'strange' dis-eases pop up. I have abused my body with food (chocolate, sugar, butter, bread) and drink (in binges...not long term) off and on over the years and would sometimes get these messages from my body that I needed to turn it around if I didn't want some serious consequences...and I would heed these messages and get back to feeling fine. I am working at being 100% raw and juice feasting....and it's still a seesaw but each time I slip I know even more that I need to hold firm as that is what feels best....I enjoy my 'vices' less and less....seem pointless somehow.
Best of Luck to you Randy. With all of us here supporting each other it makes for an easier task -even enjoyable -with the knowledge that on the other side of it is a great gift to ourselves and to life! Here's To Life! JFeasting in Utah - Carol
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…
Hello,
I am having trouble finding a raw-vegan friendly gastroenterologist. I need to get a current diagnosis of my condition but am not willing to go through any drug "treatments." I put myself on a vegan diet in 2000 and raw vegan diet in 2002, a…

I lost 15 pounds after suffering from a long period of nausea and headaches which were resolved by adopting a largely raw food diet. However, I lost 15 pounds and have not gained it back -- and I was thin to begin with. I intuitively feel a juice fa…

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
