Global Juice Feast

I am starting my juice feast tomorrow. Last year I feasted for 45 days, this year I plan on going 92 days! Last year, I juiced each batch fresh and by the time I got to the last batch, I couldn't stand to even look at my juicer! This time around, I am planning on juicing in 2 batches using both my blender and juicer. I also thought about juicing up a small stockpile and freezing it for the days when I am feeling a little uninspired. My question is: Does freezing the juice affect the quality of it? I am thinking yes but don't know how much. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance!
Your juiceyness, Jenn

Hi Jenn! Here is the question directly from the juice feasting website. I hope it helps:

Q: Can I make a week's worth of juice all at once, and then freeze it for use during the week?

A: Nice thinking, but no. The juice will be ruined by freezing - the enzymes cannot take it. Also, your juices will taste horrible. Make your juice each morning - it only takes about an hour, and you are done for the day. If you are traveling, make extra, and don't drink juice more than 36 hours old. It will be bad juice... Find juice bars in the area you are traveling to, or take your juicer with you and get to a grocery store!

Hi Jenn

Q: Is freezing juice OK?

A: Stefani is right on! Remember, the sooner you drink the juice the more nutrition you get out of it.

There is a lot of GREAT additional information on the member site, but, you do not have to be a member in order to get information about juice feasting. If you look at all of the topics on juicefeasting.com under the juice feasting/spectrum intro tab, you'll get pretty much all of the basic information that you need in order to do a juice feast. I highly recommend looking in to a membership though. So much wonderful information on there!!! But, of course, there's also all of the wonderful information on here, the global juice feasting forums, and many, many blogs from previous/current feasters.

I heard that only some of the enzymes would be lost, and I am pretty sure it was on a video link on juice feasting.com that i heard that.
Can't remember for sure.
I have frozen mine before....better than sitting in the fridge-I figured.
I could be wrong though!

I did that for about a week.....and gave it up. The texture of the juice was nasty....it breaks down and gets all fuzzy and while it will do in a pinch, it really isn't good to do. I came to that conclusion after giving it a try as I was like you....get very tired of juicing. However, what I started doing was making my juice the evening before....it's fine for the next 24 hours and I find it so much easier to juice in the evenings than in the morning when I am feeling rushed and half awake. So.....Yes freezing does affect the quality of the juice (I had make 10 quarts and froze them...) and by the end of the 10 quarts (which I am not sure I even finished...) I was ready for 100% fresh juice. It was just yuck.
