Global Juice Feast

Help! Does anyone know if it is possible not to lose weight JFeasting? Are there any general stages for it? I'm on day 9 and I'm not sure I lost any weight yet. Maybe I'm expecting too much too soon? My clothes seem to fit about the same and I don't own a scale because it makes me feel bad when I see how much I weigh. My regular diet transformed to 75 % raw in January, prior to that, it was vegan and before that vegetarian for 30+ years .I average 3 qts juice per day right now -I don't seem to need more than that. It fills me to comfort level and I'm doing most of the other recommendations including up to a T of coconut oil and 1 T of hemp or flax seed oil and exercise. Most reports I've read seem to indicate that weight falls off naturally and quickly. I'm wondering what's up with this? I'd sure appreciate any thoughts about this from anyone out there. Thanks! ~ I remain JFeasting in Utah :) To Your Health!

If you are drinking alot of juice it is totally possible to not lose any weight, but also...sometimes are bodies are making changes on the inside that don't manifest on the outside until later.......cleansing and healing is going on. So congratulate yourself for giving yourself the healthiest of all things you could have...juice...and just smile and enjoy how good you are feeling and keep at it, the weight will come off. If you can get by on less juice, you might try that, but that is probably not your answer.....just hang in there with your body....it knows what it is doing. The weight loss will come. Also, do more green juices and less sweet ones...if you are doing sweeter juices.........I don't mean don't have them not at all sweet...I personally cannot, would rather not, drink green juice without some carrot and apple in it to make it more palatable.....but just be aware and be patient....and congratulations on juice feasting. That is so awesome!!

A good indicator of weightloss without a scale is that your fat gets flabbier....less substantial......so the 3 quarts per day is good...though a few more thoughts...try increasing to 4 quarts (if you can....) and or drink lots of water. That will help flush things out.....and sorry....I spout off before I entirely digest a comment.......but I have been on the :From Sad to Raw website and also the Carly's bootcamp website and this is a common theme......so just keep on doing what you are doing.....you are doing fine.

Yeah, it's mainly the 20 somethings that experience the rapid weight loss....with us 50 somethings it sometimes takes a bit of perserverance....and I truly believe it's because our body is changing on the inside....cleansing and healing....we have more of it to do..........and that dang menopause doesn't help our metabolisms any....I can only lose weight if I am 100% raw and gain weight if I eat cooked food....always. Even then, only juice feasting really works for me.....with eating raw I often just stay the same....

More to do - That makes a lot of sense and I do tend to forget about that menopause thing. I feel like I'm in my 20's but my body needs to cleanse and heal to match my mind I guess. About 5-6 years back I was raw for awhile and lost weight w/o trying but now things are different for me. Maybe after detoxing, consistent exercise, and continuing with live food and JFeasting my "youth button" (as Dr.Gabriel Cousens says) will get pushed back in and stay there! yeaaa!

this is informative and confirming. i'm experiencing the things you mention, and one other neat little surprise. several weeks ago, i woke up to find a roll around my middle that i didn't remember having the night before. it seems to have plopped out overnight. released fat stores? makes sense, and i've read up on this process since then. i kept on jfeasting, and it's melting away. the human body is amazing.

the big idea is to give my body what it needs to restore every function. it's ability to heal effectively, to eliminate effectively, to handle stress effectively, to process food effectively, and overall to be as it was created to be. like you said, knowledge, patience and a don't-give-up attiude are required for this worthy process. it's all working and it's all good (hate that phrase but it fits here).

Ladies, I appreciate this thread. I too am hoping to lose weight on my feast and after only 11 days, find myself wishing it would happen faster! Yup, menopause definitely slows things down - ugh. But at the same time, I am happy to be in my "wise womanhood" years. I think a lesson for me is to do less judging of myself. I am who I am and loving myself will always bring positive change. And I need to love myself by doing the coconut oil and hemp oil more regularly... and I'm hoping to incorporate some of the other supplements, but for today, I'm just glad I've kept juicing.

Good News Everyone -Today is day 12 for me and I am noticing changes in my body - clothes are looser - I put on a pair of jeans that had been a little tight and today they fit perfectly ~ I'm Juiced (pardon the pun) to keep going!! :~)
