Hi there. I started juice feasting four days ago. The most I've been able to drink is 2.5 litres. I thought it might have to do with the taste of the green juices but I'm even struggling with the yummy fruit juices. I did a 7 day water fast two weeks ago, then did one week of vegan cooked before I started the feast and my appetite was low even then.
Do I have to force myself to drink more, or is 1 - 2.5 litres okay for now, and hope that I can increase the amount slowly?
By the way, the more juice I drink the more thirsty I become, until I may as well just live in the loo. Don't know if my body is rebelling against the juice...also start gagging as soon as I try drinking more than 1 - 1.5 cups at a time.
I still feel okay otherwise.
Also just had a thought that maybe the juice is overstimulating me somehow. Considering the bladder which has to be emptied constantly even when it's actually not even full (but sure does feel like it! I hold on as long as I can), the insomnia that I've had since I started the feast (4 hours sleep spead over two nights, then 5 hours last night when I had a melatonin tablet due to desperation), and the tachycardia that occurs when I do drink more juice than I feel I need (the reason I stopped the water fast that I was planning to do for 2 weeks was the constant tachycardia with a resting heart rate ranging from 120-150 - I started to get very worried, and my doctor was away, so thought it safest to just stop fasting).
Anyone else have these problems or have an idea of what's going on? I'm drinking 'normal' juices with citrus being the most stimulating I can think of (ie kale, pineapple, apple, celery, carrots, lemon etc - I can eat all of these normally without reaction).
