Hello Everyone! I'm delighted to back with you all for another amazing Juice Feasting experience. I completed the 92 day Global Juice Feast last year and now I'm back again, this time for a shorter feast, probably about 30 days or so. I'm just curious who is also juicing right now. I started March 1st, but since today is the official kick off date for 2009's Global Juice Feast, I'd love to take a roll call of who you are, when you started and how long you're thinking of feasting. I am looking for support and would love to offer the same.
Hi Penni!
I'm on day 3 today - and SO looking forward to the experience this year! Last year, from mid-March to June 1st, I accumulated 45 days of juice feasting, with my longest stretch being 15 days. This year, it is my goal to do the full 92 days.
I was able to maintain my weight loss of 23 lbs. from last year's feast until the Christmas season - then about a week before Christmas I went a little bonkers for about 3 weeks. So - this year I started at a weight of 232 - and am now at 227.5.
I'm getting a bit confused about where everyone is gathering - but perhaps this is the place to be right now, rather than the Green Room.
walking helps so much during the JF. the universe is blessing me with dog-sitting a very large and athletic dog starting tonight while my daughter jaunts down to Nicaragua ... lucky me! I have been in training for 2 weeks on my treadmill getting ready for the dog! i love it when the universe conspires to support us on our journey with these kinds of gifts and synchronicities!
mary ... you did great with your feasting last year .... and it is a DONE DEAL that you will find yourself below 200# as you stay the course, walk daily, and make juices you really enjoy. i find the most important thing is to stay in my happy place and feel good, and (as Abraham says) always go for a thought or a feeling that is a little bit better. JFing makes that pretty easy to do, because we are so freakin' PROUD of ourselves!
I loved reading your post, Kyra. I am the "daughter with the very large and athletic dog" who keeps foisting it on my mother while I run off to foreign countries, so I could relate, lol! Although I am happy to say I arrived home from England and reunited with my dog just before the JF began, so I now have my best running buddy back in my life again! :-) Enjoy walking your daughter's dog and let the dog be your new personal trainer while on the JF! :-)
Hi Penni, This is day one for me and I'm a newbie at this. I just stumbled upon this website this morning after planning a 21 day juice fest for myself and found all of you 'Juice Feasters' already at it! I am excited to find an organized annual Juice Feast event and happy to be joining in with everyone. And I was wondering how to find support . . .the Universe provides every time doesn't it? I may be inspired to go 92 days, who knows. I am available for support any time to anyone. You guys are great, Thanks for being there for me - I'm already pumped for this - just finding you all!
Hi Kyra, You've been a big support to me. Through out the day I think of your Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for us! - and it keeps me centered somehow - so thank you and thanks for sharing so many great ideas in the forums they've been very helpful to me. Cheers for us! :~) JFeasting in Utah - Carol
Hi Penni,
i started the juice feast on the 7th March and aim to complete the full 92 days! Last year I did around 18 days and want to experience the benefits of completing the whole event while supporting other people and being supported. A great opportunity to share such an amazing experience. Love, light & Blessings Michele (Snedden) :) x
aloha michele .... it is a cosmic experience to contemplate we can complete the whole 92 days .... i am practicing the Art of Allowing to get myself into the feeeeeeeeeeeeling place of what it will feel like to look back on the last three months and how happy i am with myself that i DID IT and we all helped each other stay focused and strong. i appreciate the help and support from ALL of you!
it is very overwhelming to think about all that time ahead of you though isn't it?
Last year I never managed more that 14 days in a row before I caved!
I am hoping this years experience will be different.
I so envy thoes who made it 90 days and beyond!
I keep thinking-what do they have that I don't?
aloha alicia .... in my view of the universe, no one can have anything you don't have access to as we are all the same Source energy in a human body .... and when I have quit a juice feast in the past (the longest I have ever gone was 28-days) it is because some kind of resistance came up in my world ... based upon my own non-alignment with seeing myself at the finish line. so this time i am practicing SEEING the outcome I want and mentally and emotionally aligning with it.
there is a LOT of emotional and psychological issues that come up that may take us out of our "old lives" and have us waving good-bye to our old comfort zones and habits. now we make hot tea at night for comfort rather than chew a snack. so i think that talking to each other and getting some sense that this is just some "stuff" coming up and that it does not need to act as a "stopper" to our journey is helpful.
i plan to blog and journal about this process to get the feelings out and spot and defuse the resistances before they get in my way.
That is very interesting Kyra.
I figured that it was something emotional. I do know I use food often to change the way I feel.
I would really like to learn this, so I will start with seeing the result! Even talking about that i feel a sense of panic come up inside of me- hmmm- how interesting.
Maybe journaling and blogging would help too.
Thanks for the input and support!
cooked food causes a PROFOUND "brain state change" as most of the foods we eat as cooked-food eaters contains grains and dairy in some form or another, both of which cause an opiate-reaction in the brain, giving us a sedative.
So, what is happening when we go right into the JF from that is the body goes into a radical shock, asking "where are my drugs? if you don't give me some sedatives, i'm going to freak out!!!!"
i am not a "white fire core purist" when it comes to JFing. I fudge a little here and there to keep myself going, so please note that this "emergency tactic" is NOT a part of the juice feasting protocol. with that said, if i am having a day when I am experiencing some anxiety or stress, i will add some raw cacao powder in to my coconut drink just to give my brain a chance to calm down. cacao has this effect on me. last JF i did not need or want any cacao, but the idea that it is THERE for me if I need it, and it is MUCH better to use it then stop my JF is a part of my security blanket. most of the time, just getting in the two pounds of green is sufficient for emotional balancing. without that, the JF can be an emotional roller coaster. so if I do a watermelon day, i make SURE I go right back to the greens the next day, or that could end the JF for me. the greens are the "meat and potatoes" of this program. and thank god we don't eat animals anymore!
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…

Welcome to the Juice Feasting Japan group! Anyone is welcome to join. It is all about supporting each other in our quest to reacher or ultimate, highest selves. Whether you are in Japan or there at heart.
Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
