Global Juice Feast

So, I blew it. Actually, I blew it a week ago. A week ago I had some solid cooked vegetarian food after I had a very bad feeling in my gut, thinking it would make that stop. That lead to several days of gastrointestinal distress. I didn't post about it because, well I'm paranoid about the implications of what I permanently add to the global internet database.

Then, yesterday I had chicken, for a similarly obviously wrong reason, and my stomach is kind of burning, probably from all the acid. Luckily, sort of, I don't have a gal bladder to have an attack with. But, I know from the experience with the other cooked food, it is going to be days before I feel okay again.

The point of starting on March 7, was that I wanted to do this at the same time as others, to get support. But, the people I'm learning from here have all started on different dates. So, it doesn't really matter to me if I start over. I also am not interested in an endurance test. So, I'm not sure if I'll start over, or just continue for the originally planned 92 days. I might try to add some fiber for a few days, sort of moving to a modified diet, and then return to the feast/fast.

The heart of the matter is a deeper thing that I don't want to post about on the internet. Really, what I need is church. I don't think there is church for people aspiring to agnosticism. Buddhism is kind of that, I guess. Really, I need church for aspiring agnostics, in groups consisting of 3 to 5 people. Oh well.

your honestly is refreshing. this thing all of us here are trying to do is so human. and humans are so fallible. but we also are resilient. you're right. you can start over. the fact that you've chosen to continue to pursue powerful health is worth cheering. that you know to continue in a way that *works* for you is amazing. you've set yourself up for the best kind of success: the permanent, satisfying kind. that's one of the greatest lessons we can ingrain during this journey.

and hey, you got it before day 92. i've read stories from many people who jfeast or go 100 percent raw before their bodies (and souls) are ready to support them. the effort comes from a good place, but the volley between the high of "i'm on track" to the low of "help! i fell off the wagon" is troubling. they get stuck in some in-between place and cease to progress. tough on the body and emotions.

ok. so you didn't reach your original goal. but now you have another one that's equally admirable. and, from the sound of it, might lead to your fulfillment. GO!

I would just go on. I have my probs with alcohol, which I have consumed both this feast and the last ones. Nighttime hours are as such my nemesis. However, my opinion is that it's not all over. Go on, get the stuff out of your system, reach for your original goal. Not like it's a competition here, as you said.

Hey liponeer, All is not lost. When things happen, they happen to learn from, so it's okay to go three steps forward and two steps back. . . just keep walking. It took me two years to transition to vegetarian and I'm going on 6 to 'live foods.' Our emotions , bodies and souls and minds need a transition time and when we accept that - it feels safer to us and it's much easier, so don't beat yourself up about it. I am taking a short preplanned time out and am returning on April 21st to start again and plan to go past the 'set' time frame to go 92 days or more after that, as I'm sure others will too. Support will be available for you, the universe supports us in all that we do . . .*peace, love and light*

I remember reading something from David about the 92-day juice feast... it's that long so that everyone has time to get it right. Nobody is perfect. Besides, how do you define "perfect" when we're talking about a personal journey? By definition, your personal journey is perfect for you. Keep moving toward better health and learning from your "miss-steps" and you will be miles from March 7 come June!

Best of luck and remember that the rationalizing voice inside your head can be awfully manipulating (I know mine is!) LOL

Thanks everyone. Oddly enough, someone at work said, "hey, you've been losing a lot of weight recently. What's that stuff you are drinking", which made me feel good.

Good Job - You're doing great! Just keeping 'feeding' yourself positive thoughts - it's the negative thoughts that get in our way and block us from accomplishing what we set out to do and it only takes 21 days to change a negative pattern in our lives so just hang in there with the rest of us - we energetically 'hold' each other up and we can accomplish so much more that way. We are turning on our 'youth buttons', becoming super conductors of light and love, cleaning every unwholesome cell out of our bodies, we are becoming more alive and vital every second, releasing weight, becoming peace and harmony, loving ourselves and loving life, looking fabulous, energizing our bodies - it's profound! We can do whatever we can conceive in our minds that we can do. Always remember that You are doing Fantastic -and you will! Juiced and a little crazy in Utah! lol - Carol :~)
