I wanted to ask you, who is on a Juice Feast at the moment?
I feel a little bit lonely and would be so grateful and happy to have some support. :)
I think we should motivate each other - what do you think?

I have begun a modified juice feast in preparation for the Global Feast starting in January. For the past week I have been doing green smoothies and juice for most of the day with an occasional piece of fruit. I have a couple of meals coming up that I do plan on eating at so that is why I have decided to keep some minimal raw foods in my diet, at least a couple of bites a day. I am once again really enjoying my juices. I had such a wonderful experience with my juice feast over the summer, and am looking forward to a full juice feast in January.
I'm interested in how your daily intake of food/juices/smoothies looks like! I did a 10 days JF and now I'm struggling with my old eating disorder - that's why I think about doing juices/smoothies/fruit till January when I will be part of the GJF as well. :)

Well, I guess a typical day would be maybe strawberries and blueberries with some raw walnuts, or possibly an apple or other piece of fruit for breakfast. I have been trying to do any solids that I may eat in the morning. I am definitely a morning person and I feel like my body handles heavier foods earlier on in the day. For lunch I would have a green smoothie (my favorite right now is spinach, bananna and cherry), and possibly a couple of pieces of dehydrated pear for snack if I get really hungry or in a slump and then 1 qt of juice in the evening. Drinking juice in the evening is my favorite time of the day for juicing, because I go to sleep really early and that last juice about 5:30pm keeps me feeling great right until when I get into bed, when usually I may start really dragging. I try to start my days before 4 a.m. and go to sleep around 8:30 or so. My body has really liked the simple diet that I have going now, though, because I am feeling much more energized during the day and my sleep has been cut by a little more than an hour each night. My body usually naturally sleeps 8 to 8 1/2 hours and now I am between 7 and 7 1/2 hours - I am actually naturally waking up well before my 4 a.m. goal. So I think that what I have going now is good.
I have had some substantial eating issues as well and I have found that the juicing helps. I have to say that I did fall back into some of my old habits, much to the detriment of the health that I gained from my summer juice feast, but what was so great that I came right back to what was right pretty quickly. I only "fell off the wagon" for a couple of months and I knew right were to return to. My taste buds quickly adjusted and once I began taking in large amounts of greens my cravings went away, and now I am not craving the cooked food anymore and it has been really easy to remain raw and I am enjoying the juices.
So the journey to dealing with my food issues has been just that, a journey. I didn't get fixed from just one juice feast but instead it gave me the tools and insight to deal with some of the things that otherwise I just didn't feel like I could put away.
Even during my first juice feast I did green smoothies for the first week and then went into juicing. I really think that helped with my detox, so I think that is a good thing for you to be doing.
thank you for your great reply!! I was really helpful. I think it's great that you go to sleep at 8:30 and wake up at 4 am! I want to try this as well!! My sleeping habits are totally unhealthy at the moment. I don't feel good overall. I'm stressed... and have negative emotions all day... And after eating huge amounts of food I feel totally bloated and constipated. It's awful!
I'll try to do a similar "modified" JF as you are doing right now. I'll write how it's going. =) Thank you for inspiring me! You're words are very wise. Yes, I know what's the right thing for me and I'm on a journey to health. :)
I am on day 2 of my feast. I am thinking about a blog. I did not know they were going to do another global juice feast January, I figured it would happen in the spring time again. But I am glad, as I plan to try for at least 60 days this time, so global juice feast will begin while I am on the feast. I need all the support I can get. I did it for one week last time, but I really had wanted to go on a much longer feast. I have needed some good healing and weight loss for some time now. If things go really well for me, then I will go the whole 92 days. I really could use that. I was raised on fast food and diet coke, and did drugs in my younger years and have not completely recovered from that yet. But I am well on my way!
I am trying to stick closely to the plan that David laid out on juicefeasting.com which includes most of the supplements/cleansers, the exercises, at least 3 quarts of veggie juice, and the hot cold showers, skin brushing, and enemas. I also plan to do a lot of yoga and meditation on the feast too. I think the spiritual aspect was what was really missing from my last feast. That and I think that it was just not the greatest time for me either since I own a lawn and landscape business and summer is crazy for me!
I really think that beginning of December is a great time to juice feast! I am actually kind of excited. Lettuce and celery are in season and dirt cheap. The solstice is coming up as is new years. The weather is great here in Texas, and after just one day I feel a hell of a lot better!
I'm back to feasting. I can't wait. I want it now!! :) I want to do 100 days. I'm starting tomorrow - so that means we will do our feasts synchronously! This is great! Let's support each other and keep us updated! :))

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
