Comment by Bjay on April 21, 2008 at 12:57pm - Can prickly pear pads be juiced? If so, how much to too much....I know the oxalic acid in them can be poisonous in high amounts . Bags of chopped pads are sold pretty cheaply

I have type 2 diabetes, so I can't have the fruit. :(
I'll fer sure check out the greens tho.
If you know someplace that has a GONGA deal on celery and cucumber....let me know! lol
I would really LOVE to do this for 60 days - symbolically represents the amount of healing needed to undo the past 15 years of diabetes. But not even sure if I can keep doing it for more than a couple weeks. It's shocking how expensive organic or even regular produce is.
But I guess even a little is better than nothing.
