I have been thinking, more and more lately, about spreading the word publicly about juice feasting and raw food. It has made a major difference in my health. My before and after pictures only tell half the story. I would like to get started but have no idea where to begin. I have spoken to friends and family, however, I am not getting the information to the community. I live in phoenix and I have been a "lone" feaster. Not many people have heard about juice feasting or eating only raw food. The fact that I am doing it for 92 days is alarming to people. I would like to take a brave step and become a public speaker within the phoenix community.
You look amazing. :) I know what you mean. I've had my family trying to do "interventions." My father talked to his doctor, and his doctor gave him horror stories of what could happen to me if I just drank juice. Of course, the doc probably thinks I'm drinking V8 and bottled juices all day. It blows my mind how little people know about the benefits of juicing and live raw foods.
The before and afters are powerful however - and is what gets people interested. Now that I'm looking way different, I'm having family members take me aside and ask for my "secret" or for the "juice recipe." But they ask in private like they are embarassed for anybody else to know.
My sister is now eating more raw foods (not much, but something is better than nothing) and a couple internet friends have now tried juicing and raw foods.
I live in Tucson. Don't know ANY raw foodies here. My son and hubby still have me cook for them and look at my food in horror lol. Although they have had a couple raw dishes now, they just don't know it haha.
Good luck with becoming a public speaker. I think you'll do great. :)
Thanks Bjay,
I Have been a lonesome juicer and raw foodist. The only community I have is in cyberspace. I also cook for my husband who has no intention of becoming raw. It's interesting how people react to our lifestyle.
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…

I lost 15 pounds after suffering from a long period of nausea and headaches which were resolved by adopting a largely raw food diet. However, I lost 15 pounds and have not gained it back -- and I was thin to begin with. I intuitively feel a juice fa…

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
