Global Juice Feast

Hi!!!

As this group continues to grow by the day, I would like to take this time to have everyone introduce ourselves.

We all have decided to juice feast for one reason or another, and we all live in Minnesota (or some may be away from Minnesota but are Minnesotans through and through! We still love you no matter where you live!)

So! Add a reply to this thread, and tell us about yourself!

Here are some ideas to get started:

* Your name
* Where you live
* What is your favorite place to get groceries
* Why you decided to juice feast (or modified juice feast)
* What you like to do when you're not standing in front of a juicer
* What are your juice feasting goals (so we can all cheer you on!)
* Hobbies/interests/how you have fun
* Current or favorite book you are reading
* Your website/ blog/ Twitter/ Myspace/ Facebook/ etc.

OK! I'll start:

Name: Heidi
City: Eagan - Hooray for South of the River! I love Eagan/ Apple Valley/Burnsville/ Rosemount/ Lakeville/ InverGroveHeights/ Farmington/ Savage/ Shakopee!
(Oh my, I could go on and on about how much I love every city in Minnesota! I'll stop here....)

Favorite grocery store: The Wedge, and/or Byerlys. I am currently working on a big list of where I buy all my produce from, because I actually go to around 6-7 different places a week, especially when I was juicing!

Why I decided to juice feast: Hmm, I had a lot of reasons, but mainly I started juice feasting to get my weight loss into gear. So far I have lost 13 pounds, and I have about 33 more to go to get to my goal weight. I also wanted to enjoy my food more. And I wanted to get excited about making raw food recipes, since that is part of my job with Raw Food Right Now (my website and business)

What you like to do when you're not standing in front of a juicer I LOVE making raw food! When I am out of the kitchen, I like writing. I also enjoy taking snapshots, and I enjoy traveling. I love juicing, but I have to admit after having juiced for 35 days (and still juicing lots right now) that it can get pretty boring!

What are your juice feasting goals (so we can all cheer you on!) I am on a modified juice feast so I will reach my ideal clothing size. I also want to continue to tweak my daily diet, and get in as many greens as humanly possible!
Hobbies/interests/how you have fun I have fun playing video games (Nintendo DS), watching comedies, surfing the internet, and making new recipes, as well as writing on RFRN.

Current or favorite book you are reading Right now I am reading a wide variety of books. I read like 5-6 at a time (no silly, not all at once!) I read mostly non-fiction, and of course I keep up on all the book reviews we do for RFRN! I'd say reading through all the JuiceFeasting.com membership materials has been the most interesting reading I have been through. David and Katrina have packed so much information in that program it makes my brain hurt just thinking about it!

Your website or blog (doesn't have to be about raw food!)

OK! Tag! You're it!

* Your name - Sophie Woodle
* Where you live - Waconia
* What is your favorite place to get groceries - Lakewinds (Chanhassen & Mtka), Whole Foods, The Wedge, farmer's markets in the summer, Mackenthun's (it's our local in Waconia - good in a pinch).
* Why you decided to juice feast (or modified juice feast) - I started a 92-day feast on April 15th - tax day! My reasons? Not for tax purposes, I can tell you that. I am very drawn to the healing (spiritually) that comes through. I'm really excited to meet the me that's waiting at the end of 92 days. I spend most of my personal/private time connecting with Spirit and I knew intuitively that raw/vegan living (and now the juice feast) are a true form of self love. It's all about love at the end of the day!
* What you like to do when you're not standing in front of a juicer - Hang out with my cool husband (he's raw/vegan too) our 2 little girls (60% raw/vegan) and our Australian Shepherd, Sascha. We love our garden, driving in our Minis, driving to Duluth, listening to music ALL the time.
* What are your juice feasting goals (so we can all cheer you on!) - I'd love to hear about your favorite juices to keep me interested. My fave so far? Pineapple/celery/swiss chard. It rocked!
* Hobbies/interests/how you have fun - I love 89.3 The Current, Radio Paradise, Pandora.com (for my music) and I love driving in my hot chocolate Mini Clubman. My husband drives a red Mini Cooper and we belong to a Mini car club and go out for drives every month. I love all things Waldorf, gardening, natural foods, consciousness, drawing, reading.
* Current or favorite book you are reading - Honestly, I only just finished reading Angela Stoke's "Juice Feast Handbook"!
* Your website/ blog/ Twitter/ Myspace/ Facebook/ etc.- www.planetarylove.com; coolgreenfish on Twitter.
