Global Juice Feast

Hey Phit-Phriends...I sure am glad y'all are here. I be lovin the interaction with all one focus...
I am roller-coastering...I go from so flippin energetic that I can't take it....(mindjah no-one else can either...*8~)
to crashed ! I go nonstop all day...at night a few minutes to read.. boomph! I'm out!
If I don't juice in the a.m, I gronk out, and hit hte wall. If I juice, I pee like a pregnant girl...frequency,urgency,and nearly control loss.
Brian Clements said: "that we should not consume anything before 11 a.m. because our bodies were back flushing, and
eliminating what they had processed yesterday...", so, although I take changes slowly, I really want to stay on this feast.
I am managing my diabetes well (last A1c test was a 4.9...this is real good.), I am moving as much as possible.. this GJF is
doin me right, BUT, I am so wanting to move forward.
Being mad active all the time, plays havoc with my eating/(now
juicing), and sometimes...I gotta eat cooked (V)food, just to slow down, or just because I wanna sleep, or I'm bouncin round the room, like a wild bird caught in the house. I get up, and work at 3a,5a,1a...weird...? I was 100% raw a few years ago, while building the OG cafe/Juicebar, my daze were a blur.
I'd go dance to live hip hop,ska, reggae
for 4-5 hours, soak through 5 shirts, go out canoeing in the ocean after the club closed, sleep 2-3 hours, get up early, go to work in a
busy organic food co-op, building the OG in the afternoons, gave me the foods to fuel my day in, day out crazy freakin energy...I rode my bike everywhere, work, shop, dance,...I got pontoons for my mountain bike...go, go, gadget...! and I would only sleep a few hours a night.
I would cook, to eat and get full, so I'd be a normal speed for my lady...it was mental... so I caved, and incorporated CV
foods, and my bouncin round the room slowed. Like Ehret, I have tested many things on myself, and done things wrongly, deliberatly, so I could prove my stance(to myself mostly).
When I make raw Banana/Coconut Ice cream in the vita mix, I have no urgency, frequency, or near loss of control, If I put that same blended banana in a smoothie even with greens, ch! preggo again, runnin every few minutes. (must be the caprylic acid in the coconut? dunno?
It does seem that there is something to Brian's provocation. I have added juicing to my dozen year vegan/raw vegan diet before ... but have never done this. With my 30+ years of diabetes, and only later 15 of those managed, I haven't wanted to
upset the balance? that the above diet was bringin me.
So here is a couple of the dilemma's;
Juice in the am...or wait till after 11?
Find juice concotions that don't have the same reaction(some of these have already been made possible by great GJF folks ;-}
Herbs to balance...something?
At this point, because of the gig I am doing, there's money issues...I am tapped by the feast... but it is soooo worth it!
So, I would be apprehensive about costly remedies...but will consider any postulate.
After hearing Loren Lochman, I tried a total fast once... I flipped, pulled a nutty,and abandoned the idea.
Ok, I've babbled for awhile...anybody got any thought-mosis ingredients for the "idea juicer" between my ears?
Preesh Y'all. WaW

I've read a variety of thoughts on this subject of eating/juicing etc in the a.m. and after applying the same 'test it on ME theory' what works for me is to have a GREEN (fruit based) juice (absolutely NO pulp) in the morning if I feel the need for it. If I'm not hungry for one, than listen to my body and skip it. I eat my main meal (I'm doing the 'modified' version of the juice feast for several reasons which I won't get into now) between 1-2pm. THAT meal consists of typically a salad, maybe soup, and a dessert...................after that, nothing more to eat! If I get hungry or feel the need for something, it's back to 'juice' to allow my body to digest and assimilate the meal I ate at mid-day. I think Brian Clements comment refers more to people who are a) in more dire need to detox in a major way; or b) still consuming whole foods on a regular basis.........especially eating late at night. If you've stopped eating early in the day and basically done a mini-cleanse............then it's ok to juice in the morning if you're feeling the need to have something.
If I'm going to play tennis, or work out I never leave the house without a juice! I may not drink it.........but if I feel a need for it - I've GOT it!
Hope this helps you work through your dilema. Listen to what your own body is telling you and what works best for YOU! The best advice in the world is worthless if it doesn't work for you. -Beth
