I started my juice feast yesterday and I desire to go 92 days! I am so excited and really feel I am just answering the request of my mind, body, and spirit by embarking on this journey. I am a Bikram yoga teacher and I plan to practice throughout the feast so I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me. Practicing and teaching tends to burn a lot of calories and you sweat out a lot of minerals so I will probably be upping my amount of juice! BUT, I have struggled with candidiasis and am using this juice feast to clear it out once and for all, so trying to go really light on the fruit juices. Any suggestions for high calorie green/alkalizing/low sugar juices?
Anybody done Bikram on the feast? Love to hear your comments ;-)

How did your feast go? I am a bikram student about to start a juice feast, so I'd be very interested to hear how it was for you to practice during your feast.
Hi Stephanie,
It went really well! I actually ended up doing 48 days on juice and then a modified jf with smoothies and then slowly back to solids. The main reason I ended early is that I dropped a lot of weight...I was doing mainly green juice and found that my calorie intake was probably not enough to go for 92 days as I was practicing and teaching every day. Yoga was AWESOME on the feast and I made huge discoveries in my practice and my body. I actually think that it was the energy generated by the yoga that kept me so upbeat and also helped eliminate detox symptoms. A lot of people experience head aches, nausea, or fatigue as their body begins to detox. But you sweat so much out in the Bikram, I think it actually speeds up the release of toxins and you quickly jump into a much deeper cleansing level.
I am planning on doing a mini-feast to kick off the new year ;-)
feel free to email me with any questions...and check out my website at racheldevlin.com
good luck with your feast!
With Bikram it is good to hear that sweating will get some of the toxins out, my first question is will it also sweat out the heavy metals and if yes how much & how long do I need to keep sweating to have a deep cleanse? The reason I ask is because I was taking a product zeoactiv8 to speed up removal of the heavy metals but it dumped lead, copper & arsenic into my body. My doctor and I were shocked. Will Bikram sweating give me any negative results like zeoactiv8?

I, too, am doing Bikram through my feast. Although my feast will not be 92 days, it has started with three! I have found that doing the Bikram in the morning has helped me begin my day. I also noticed that I sweat way more while Im on the feast than previously.
I just did a one day test, a full day of only juices and a bikram class that evening, and it was terrific!!! I felt even better after class than before.
I also started Bikram, a 30 day challenge came my way the same day I began the juice feast. And so I took the challenge, yet I practice Bikram at home, in a warm room, alone.
There is not a lot of sweating, there is no group energy, yet each day on the feast Bikram Yoga gets better and better.... Today is day 10!
Dear Johnny,

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
