Profile Information

About Me:
I am a college student who has struggled with various health problems within the last couple years including: poly-cystic ovarian syndrome, gluten-intolerance, mild allergies, and anxiety/depression (among others). Because it is the summer, I am currently dismissed from classes, but am still living at school. I work six days a week from about two to ten hours per day. I am hoping my JF will lead to self-discovery and aid my transition into a 100% raw lifestyle.

Interests (Beyond Nutrition)
A cold juice on a hot day, movies that get better every time you watch them, getting under clean sheets after just shaving my legs, completing coursework days before it's due, feeling the cool breeze while riding my bicycle, waking up refreshed after a good night's sleep, and meditating.

Kait -- good luck with your feast -- you might want to sign up on for the daily information - sice you won't be getting daily videos from David and Katrina as you're not doing the feast during March to June There are no juice recipes provided -- it is all intuitive -- your body will start letting you know what it wants. Don't get disillusioned if you make some disgusting pond slde -- do enemas for the first couple of weeks -- people have shared a bunch of their favourite juice recipes on the forum, you'll have to search back to early on -- just enjoy! and listen to your body! Good luck!

I used a Sampson Juicer for about $260 dollars -- the blenders that work are either Vitmix or Blendtec, yes and then strain -- juice from blenders oxidizes a lot quicker and apparently doesn't taste as good. I've noticed this too. If it's an option -- opt for a juicer!
Recipes: blood orange and mint; pineaaple, pear, strawberry -- and then E3 Live is my favourite addition! Spinach goes down easily mixed with fruit! The name of the game: experiment!

Kait, so wonderful that you are JFing with us ... I just finished up a 27 unit school year .... and am taking a nice long break for the summer. Feels good to not have to be driven by homework constantly, but my activated mind still wants to learn so I find myself reading a book a day still, despite school being out. I attribute my clear brain to good nutrition and superfoods.

I'm going strong today. No temptations...a little worried over the V8 like juice I is sitting in my fridge and I swear it moved. :D Right now I've discovered pineapple is my new best friend. :D Love it with the green juices...

Hi Kait,
thanks for adding me as a friend. I wish for you that everything you hope for through the juice feast comes true. I have been juicing since March 1 2008. I slipped in late March so I started over. T'day is day 76 for me, I have grown so much, rid mysel of so much, its been amazing. Love and juice xo! Dea

Day 52

Yep its true I've enjoyed another fast. I decided after my initial 92+ days to make this a yearly mind, body spirit resting ritual.Don't know if I will ever go as long or longer but short - mid fasts are definitely now apart of my lifestyle.  The benefits are endless and my intentions in the near future is to completely rest and relax during my fast (no phone, work, completely surrounded only by other fasters in nature etc.)  It's a great time of healing and a lot of emotions, ideas etc arise…See More

"Hello! Substitutions are great try celery hearts, cucumber and any greens a variety is best. Tomatoes, bell pepper are a nice addition. Coconut water is tasty as a treat minus the meat. Hope this helps"
