Today is Day 10 for me. My how time flies! I can hardly believe I am nearly 1/9 of the way through the Juice Feast! I am still keeping my energy up and running 30 minutes a day with my dog (about 2 1/2 miles). I'm really wanting to up that to two 3…

Hi Karen! Bravo on your race. And great job on persevering when you thought about quitting. I had that experience too when I did my 14-day juice feast. I think sleeping on it is a great strategy because it takes you out of that moment when sometimes…

Thanks, Kierra! I actually ran a 10K race this morning. Who knew I could still run 6 miles after a week of juice feasting?!! Perhaps I am not quite so afraid of exercising while feasting now that I've seen that I could do this. For a sports drink, I…

Day 12 and My Mother Joins the Feast!

Last night I picked my mom up from the airport, which is the first time I've seen her since before my most recent trip to England four months ago. On the drive home, I was telling her about my juice feast and she announced that she has decided to eat just fruits and vegetables (mostly raw) for awhile! How convenient, seeing as all I have in the house right now is fruits and vegetables! :-)

My mom lives next-door to me, and having been out-of-town for several weeks, I knew her refrigerator would… Continue

Day 10 and Feeling Strong!

Today is Day 10 for me. My how time flies! I can hardly believe I am nearly 1/9 of the way through the Juice Feast!

I am still keeping my energy up and running 30 minutes a day with my dog (about 2 1/2 miles). I'm really wanting to up that to two 30 minute runs per day (morning and evening). Right now it is my schedule and the difficulty finding the time for the second run that is stopping me -- not my energy level!

I have also lost over 9 pounds during the first 10 days of the Feast! Woo hoo!… Continue

First Week Recap (and a 10K race!)

Today is Day 8 of my juice feast, so I am officially in my 2nd week of juice feasting! I thought I would recap some of the highlights (and low points!) of my first week, and hopefully provide some encouragement to those of you who are just starting out this week.

I have dropped 8.8 pounds in the first week! Woo hoo!!!! :-) How is that for a little encouragement?!!?

I experienced significant detox on Day 2, evidenced by a heavily coated tongue. Days 3 and 4 were a bit easier all around. And the… Continue

Day 7 and Weight Plateau

Hello Global Juice Feasters,

I am beginning my Day 7 now. Woo hoo!!! I'm feeling good! :-) I bought enough produce yesterday to sink a ship! lol!

Two days ago, I had a rough day and was feeling weak. Since I had a public speaking engagement that night, I was concerned about having enough strength and energy to stand up and speak. So I decided to add the hemp oil to my fast. I do think it helped with my energy that night. I also used it yesterday. But I noticed that my weight has plateaued on t… Continue

Day 5 and Struggling!

I'm at the end of Day 5 and having thoughts about quitting. :-( I'm just worried that I'm feeling too weak. I will try not to be rash about quitting, but to think this out. So I will go to bed and get up tomorrow and juice and then see how I feel. Any suggestions for getting through this?
