I have been a vegetarian for 4 years now, vegan for a year. I really want to work towards being a raw vegan and have a much healthier body and life. I was so excited to find out about this Global Juice Feast and the health benefits you can gain from it.
What kind of life shifts/transformations are you looking to have with Juice Feasting?
I would like overall health improvement. But, I had to admit each time I try to start this feast I fall/fail. I have a couple health issues I know can be wiped out if I would stick to this for even 30 days. One that has plagued my life for awhile is IBS and I want freedom from it.

I read that you are a medical missionary. How wonderful! I also noticed that you are doing P90X. I love that program and find it to be one of the most effective group of workouts I've ever done. Best wishes to you!
When I did P90X, I followed most of the weight training and cardio workouts but I added my own core work and yoga videos on the "recovery week". I enjoy Tony but found that when it came to yoga, I wanted the whole yoga experience and a little break from the "bring it" attitude. I love that attitude when it comes to the weights and cardio but for me, yoga was about balancing all of that hard work with some soul work and deep healing. It worked out great. I will say that P90X weight training workouts are the best I've ever done and I've been training a long time. All that aside, I have not been Juice Feasting but I have been checking in daily to read and get inspiration from all those who are. I love hearing about all the changes and I am amazed right now by those who are able to do this so easily. I want to get there and I know that I will. :)
Hi Cathy, I am Lucy with the lyme disease. I feel for your friend.When I did the medical treatment I wanted to die, truely, I did C IV with magnesium for 3 days in row each month for 9 months.(that did help with the joint pain) I have done David Wilson lyme disease program, which is all herbs. The infra sauna saved my life, with the brain fog and the chronic pain, exhaustion.I also got deep tissue massage for 2 hrs once a week for several months. Then I started doing yoga last fall with a wonderful anusara teacher. Which helps with getting my body back in anligement. Meditation huge help. It is pretty much a full time job. Now the juice feasting is the next piece. I have been raw off and on for 1 1/2 years , my joints felt much better and had much more energy.
You see I had an very active life, train horse, equine massage therapist and human massge therapist. I have a 6 arce farm. For years it was hard for me to get out of the bed.
Now with this journey , I did my first equine massage this week and I have started adding clients back in. I aways feel much better after I my yoga class even if I hurt all over. I drive 45 mintues one way, that is how much I believe in my teacher amd how much it has helped me with my lyme.
I DO BELIEVE that juice feasting is the one piece I was missing . With how DAVID and KATRINA set this up, I can do it at home. I knew I needed to detox but could not go away for 3 months. So THEY are a blessing to me. After I will be raw.

Hey. I've done literally everything in existence to try and have a normal life. REALLY. There isn't enough room here for me to go through all of the various treatments I've done, medical and alternative. In a nutshell, once all of those failed to give me relief, I arrived at NH (Natural Hygiene) So far with this route, I've done two water fasts, one for 14 days and the other for 21. I have been raw since 6/7/07 and have been juicing for the past 44 days. Hands down, being raw has given me the most releif to date. My symptoms are neurological in nature with very little pain. I'm not sure which is worse, being completely brain dead in your 20's, or not able to move. Either way existence is bleak when you live like this. In all of my research, I truely believe that raw is the way out. If not complete recovery, at least enough to function. It is still too early to tell what will happen, but the results thus far are more then promising. I am actually breaking my feast after 45 days. I'm tired of the enemas. It definitely gave my digestion and my GI tract a nice break, but I do believe now it's time for the fiber once again. I will plan on sticking to the 80-10-10 approach to the raw diet which by all acounts seems to make the most logical and scientific sense. I would advise your friend to do a feast and then stay raw for an undertermined period of time. He will be able to feel what is right. He also must exercise. This is a must and cannot be overlooked. Even if he can only walk to his mailbox and back to start, then that is what he must do. You have to move.
I wish your friend strength and luck. He's going to need it.
Yep its true I've enjoyed another fast. I decided after my initial 92+ days to make this a yearly mind, body spirit resting ritual.Don't know if I will ever go as long or longer but short - mid fasts are definitely now apart of my lifestyle. The benefits are endless and my intentions in the near future is to completely rest and relax during my fast (no phone, work, completely surrounded only by other fasters in nature etc.) It's a great time of healing and a lot of emotions, ideas etc arise…See More
"Hello! Substitutions are great try celery hearts, cucumber and any greens a variety is best. Tomatoes, bell pepper are a nice addition. Coconut water is tasty as a treat minus the meat. Hope this helps"
