About Me:
I have been living a Raw Vegan Lifestyle since Jan 9th 2009. I am so excited at all of the amazing changes I have experienced. I started out doing it for health reasons, but I have had wonderful side effects I wasn't expecting! I am finding that not only am I experiencing physical transformation, but also my way of thinking is more clear and shifting, and spiritually I am so much more connected to everything. It is a beautiful journey, and I feel so blessed to be going in such a positive direction. Physically, mentally and spiritually.
I have released 45 Lbs of weight so far being on the Raw Vegan Diet.

What kind of life shifts/transformations are you looking to have with Juice Feasting?
I have some health problems that I am hoping to alleviate. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis that I have had since I was 21. It is a very debilitating disease, both physically and emotionally. Since I started Eating a Raw Vegan Diet I have read and researched each day about our body..what causes disease, and how to give your body the right environment to heal itself. I understand how my body became taxed and sick. I also understand what it needs to get back to optimum health, and I intend to give it exactly what it needs so it can heal. I can reclaim the perfection that God intended for me..for all of us. Juicing is just the next step on my path back to health and happiness.

Introspection- Day 8 of my Juice Feast- Blogging about blogging..lol

Well here I am. I have sat down to blog everyday for a week and I couldn't bring myself to post. I had been keeping a blog on the web you can go here to read it if you feel led. Hello Kelly, I'm starting the global juice feasting a bit late. Today is day one of my 70 days juice feast. I wanted to know while your on this feasting journey do you do any kind of exercise? If you go a the juice feasting website they tell you to do some exercise like biking or walking. Is 30 min of biking too much?

I do exercise for 1 hour about 4-5 times a week..but I have built up to it and I have worked out with varying degrees of intensity since I was 14. I think you have to be gentle with yourself. Do what feels right to you. While you are detoxing most people do yoga or some type of gentle exercise. Sweating aids in the elimination of waste through your skin. So slowly working up a sweat is a good thing, but over doing it with the intensity of the workout will only over work your systems..and sort of work against the healing you are trying to achieve through fasting. The most important thing is that you move your body for at least 30 min a day.

Your lymphatic system, is a major player in your detox. It delivers the nutrients, oxygen, and hormones required by the cells. Then it collects and carries away cellular toxin/waste.

Lymph 101
Your Lymph System is sort of like your blood supply/or circulatory system, as in; it is carried through the body in a mesh-like network of tiny tubes that are distributed throughout the tissue spaces and are located just under the skin. They are made up of capillaries which branch and interconnect freely so that they extend into almost all tissues.. However, the lymph system does not have a "pump" as the blood has the heart. The lymphatic system relies on our movement to act as a "pump". Exercise is important because the movements of the muscles stimulate the pressure, allowing the flow of the liquid into the capillaries.Which then carry it to be eliminated.

Everyone is at a different stage physically. So you have to take a look at where you are. If you are used to climbing mountains..I would consider a hike. If you are used to sitting on the couch..taking a nice walk might be a nice start.

I think the main thing while doing a Juicing fast is that we listen to our body. We are healing different systems, our bodies are using energy to heal. We are releasing toxins causing different reactions. We need to exercise in moderation to aid in the process...but just like anything we can over do it. We want our body to be concentrating on healing at a deep level...not just repairing muscle.

Look into yoga, go on a 30 min bike ride if you feel like you can. Many people use a rebounder during a Juice feast because it helps stimulate the lymphatic system, but it isn't taxing on the body if you go easy on it.

Yep its true I've enjoyed another fast. I decided after my initial 92+ days to make this a yearly mind, body spirit resting ritual.Don't know if I will ever go as long or longer but short - mid fasts are definitely now apart of my lifestyle.  The benefits are endless and my intentions in the near future is to completely rest and relax during my fast (no phone, work, completely surrounded only by other fasters in nature etc.)  It's a great time of healing and a lot of emotions, ideas etc arise…See More

"Hello! Substitutions are great try celery hearts, cucumber and any greens a variety is best. Tomatoes, bell pepper are a nice addition. Coconut water is tasty as a treat minus the meat. Hope this helps"
