Tuliza's Blog

Greetings to all my friends and future friends,

I have been absent from the juice feasting community for quite a while, however, it was not by choice. On January 17th, 2009, I was rushed to the hospital after having suffered a stroke. The stroke effected my left side and I spent three months in a medical and rehabilitation care center. With daily therapy I went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to now, a four point cane. The next step is to walk on my own. I believe juice feasting and… Continue

Tuliza's Update

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I missed a couple of days of posting. I'm feeling much better today. The weather warmed up a little, so it's helping me cope with the chills I've been having. I must confess, I was cooking the other day, because my family is not raw, and without any thought I tasted the food I was cooking. It wasn't until after the fact that I realized what I had done. I actually ate a small amount of cooked food. I had been preparing a new recipe and had no idea how it was going to turn… Continue

Left a previous comment, don't know whether it got through.... In my opinion.... I would start the juice feast asap.... you can do the master cleanse options when you can't do juices... I have read Angela Stokes book and she mentions the Master Cleanse recipe - quote "This is a great 'fall-back' drink if you are feeling too busy or tired to make juice. Also great if you want something to take on a trip with you and don't want to take juice that will oxidise, lose nutrients and taste unpleasant more quickly' xox, Barbara

Hi Tuliza,

I don't suggest doing Master Cleanser as a cleanse in and of itself anymore. When I coached Angela Stokes and she wrote her book based on my instruction, I was still advocating Master Cleanser a little more than I am now. Basically, MC is a high-glycemic, low mineral drink that does not resupply your body with the missing elements: trace minerals, essential fatty acids, proteins, chlorophyll, etc. SO, I call Master Cleanser the "I didn't have time to make juice" juice.

At this point, move into a Juice Feast!

Day 52

Yep its true I've enjoyed another fast. I decided after my initial 92+ days to make this a yearly mind, body spirit resting ritual.Don't know if I will ever go as long or longer but short - mid fasts are definitely now apart of my lifestyle.  The benefits are endless and my intentions in the near future is to completely rest and relax during my fast (no phone, work, completely surrounded only by other fasters in nature etc.)  It's a great time of healing and a lot of emotions, ideas etc arise…See More
