I had something like that. It started happening after my galbladder was removed, and I wasn't sure when it would happen. During the juice fast it was pretty much constant. After going back on solid vegan food, it stopped the first day. So, I guess…

I had an unusual amount of energy today. I was kind of wired... odd. I had the usual juices, but I forgot to put apple in my celery drink and there was an unusaully large amount of ginger, so it was really bitter, and really spicey.

Profile Information

About Me:
I've been inching toward a raw vegan diet for a while, and trying to star a juice feast/fast for a few months, but have eaten other crud. Essentially, for the last 2 years I've been raw vegan each day until nighttime when I was not. I'm starting the feast/fast on march 7 so I can hopefully get emotional support from others.

Day #1.2

I felt better yesterday. I had significantly more stamina bicycle riding than the day before, and didn't panic.

Today, I felt a little hungry despite my juice. I got a headache maybe from the heavy duty greens in my juice. I feel generally healthier and calmer.

Day #1.1

Yesterday, I had whole bananas and plums as well as the juice. The carrot juice was 2 lb. of carrots, not 1.

Also, my weight is 195 lb, not 200 lb.

The 80/10/10 book refers to this site:

http://www.nutridiary.com

which is interesting. I can put in kale and it calculates the calories and breaks down percentages of fat/protein/carbohydrates. And I can add exercise that I did. The exercise bit is a little odd. I have a heart rate monitor and the amount of calories that it reports is usually far… Continue

I didn't follow a raw vegan diet very well after stopping. I'm going to try either a juice feast/fast or a modified one. I don't know for how long.

For me, the feast/fast is much easier than dealing with the real vegan diet that I should have.

I'm back t… Continue

day #67

So, I think I have ended the feast/fast. I will see how it goes eating solid raw vegan, at least for today.

The point of my doing this was not to "detox", but to change my metabolism, or whatever it is, such that I could get a firm foothold on going raw vegan, and I think I actually got that after the first month, even though I fell off the program briefly, shortly there after, but then got back on track.

I am relatively new to raw vegan. Before the feast/fast I had tried for years and only ha… Continue

day #64-66

I rode my bicycle that I got out of storage. It's really fast, compared to my last one. According to the meter thing I burned 1400 calories going to and from work.

I had my usual juices. One difference was that I forgot to buy an apple, so I had:

1 head celery 1 bunch spinach 1 large chunk ginger 1/4 tsp cayenne

I'm impressed with the 80/10/10 book so far, and I pretty sure I'm going to try a high fruit diet when I stop the feast/fast. I'll have to check my blood glucose levels to see if it r… Continue

i've been open with family about what i'm doing. the looks are always the same, though. "you're doing what?" i used to feel as though i had to defend my actions, but now i take these chances to explain the aim and benefits of a jfeast. effective to some degree, but no doubt, ultimately it's seen as some "weird juice thing." have you decided how to handle your aunt's birthday?
