Day 17 detox induced sleep?

Still juicing!

I'm so excited.. Today I received an upgrade kit for my Solostar juicer to the Solostar II.

OMG, what a difference! It seems to squeeze way more juice out of veggies and it doesn't make any mess. It's fast and just an all around much better design. Now I love my juicer!

I can see that making juice will be a much more pleasant experience.. less waste an less time consuming. It's easy to clean up too! Unfortunately the UPS guy didn't bring it until I had almost all… Continue

Day 15

Well today is definitely better than yesterday. My determination is back stronger than ever after taking a photo of myself today!!! ack

I know it's not cool to have negative thoughts about our bodies but I tell ya, have you ever been shocked by a photograph of yourself? Suddenly there is a realization of the disparity between the mental image and the photographic one. It can be shocking. Looking in the mirror is just not the same as a photo either.

I want to take about 3… Continue

Day 12 & 13 highs and lows

I tell you if it wasn't for the wonderful support on this forum I might have given up yesterday. I had several discouraging relapses. My joints started hurting again.. hip mostly. Also the acid reflux is back. How can you get acid reflux on a juice feast? I found myself craving crazy things like pasta. Of course I would not eat that but I think it is not the actual foods I was craving but the tastes I miss and the sensation of chewing.

I report these things as they are for me because… Continue

Day 11 .. and the devolution of watermelons.

Not any great astounding change to report but that I'm feeling more positive. Energy is good but not where I want it yet.

I seem to have a pattern.. 2 -3 liters of green juices and 1-2 liters of fruit.

Which reminds me.. I wanted to ask.. what happened to watermelons??? Where are those huge ovoid s happed melons that were dark pink almost red inside and so tasty? The kind we had when I was a kid. They had seeds in them. Black mature seeds. Even my daughter remembers them. The… Continue

Day 10 .. I have energy!!!!

I can't believe I just finished Day 10. I'm encouraged to go on. This morning honesty as I was making juice, I was thinking maybe this is enough for now and I can go on raw foods for a while, but as the day went on I was astounded at how much energy I have! I had been dragging myself around for many many months feeling like I was running on a half dead battery. I can feel a significant difference in only 10 days and I want more of this!! I started imagining what can I accomplish if I have this… Continue

Hi Nataki, I bought 1 liter mason jars so I made 4 jars full. That would be just a bit over 4 US quarts. Yesterday I didn't finish the 4 liters but today I made about 4.5 liters and will drink at least that much. I think we just have to get used to drinking more liquids than most of us normally do.

MSM: I had some capsules left so I used those up today with my water + lemon. I need to get some MSM powder but hard to find around here. I'll have to order it online.

Nice to meet you, muddyclothes. I, too, am summer juice feasting! I begin tomorrow and will be looking to you for support. It looks like you're doing a wonderful job.

I read your blog about the expenses of produce. I can relate. My biggest saviors are farmers markets. I live very close to NYC and therefore, have a variety of them nearby. Not sure if they have any in Montreal, but you should definitely look for them via the internet.

Also, whenever I am rung up for the produce I purchase and the cost is overly ridiculous, I think to myself - my health is worth it. :D
