You might try a VitaMix and a nut mylk bag.....I believe that is what some people do? Not sure. Blend it all up very quickly in the VitaMix and strain it through a nut mylk bag.....

The Breville does not juice leafy greens...it just tears them up and spits them out......creating little to no juice.

Hi Rhina :o) a greenstar and a vitamix? can you make juice in a vitamix? i've tried to order a vitamix twice and things keep happening and erroring out on me...from their side of the transaction. so maybe i'm not meant to have one...yet. its frustra…

i used to wonder why it was taking everyone else an hour and a half to juice their daily 3 to 4 quarts for juice feasting and it would only take me 30 minutes... now i know!!! my centrifugal goes zip zip and everyone else has a greenstar. ok...so no…

I have a Breville and for the price I like it. But it is true that the pulp seems to have a lot of juice left in it. If money was no option I would get the greenstar AND a vitamix!

The chute is a bit small....but it's by design as that type of juicer would get overworked if it were larger.....so I do chop up some stuff...like large carrots (just split them down the middle) apples, etc. but I stuff in whole romaine leaves, whol…

Hey Patricia, sounds like YOU are doing great. Me, I self-sabotaged on Sunday March 1st....been working on getting back to juice feasting ever since....with each day a no. But tomorrow....I think tomorrow, Thursday, will be a yes...as I have refound my reason for doing this.

The amount of juice I have each day varies....but a normal day is 4 quarts. If I need more I make more....if I am not feeling hungry I drink less. But work is very busy right now so 3 quarts is a minimum and more is sometimes required. Definitely drink more if you are feeling hungry......and I think we just have to get used to that and ignore it, esp if we are drinking plenty of juice. It does go away. And it is getting easier. I can't wait for Day 30! We are 1/3 of the way to Day 30! I like to break it down into increments and watch as they get bigger. I will soon be 1/10th of the way to my goal.....can't wait to be transformed....it is happening as we speak.....it is awesome! Never forget why we are doing this! We want to feel, look and be just amazingly awesome......for reasons still unfolding.......

I know all about the tempting foods....that look and smell so good...but we know that as good as they taste.....they don't feel that good. So, as I learned to pass up all but the best desserts (ie only the ones that seemed to be worth the calories, sugar, etc.), I am learning to pass up foods that won't make me a vibrant, healthy, amazing goddess. Still learning that bit...lol. Today I wrote a post titled "The Yellow Flags Are Up"....as I had a bit of self sabotage today....had 2 frozen fruit bars. Oh my. But I know that is impeding my progress, and symptomatic of my needing to have a talk with myself to get straight what I want....and that I AM going to achieve it. I WILL BE A RAW JUICY BEAUTIFUL GODDESS IN 112 DAYS. AND YOU WILL TOO!! WE WILL GET THERE!!! WE ARE DETERMINED!
It really does help to have you and others on here for support.

Day 7 or is it Day 8? It's actually 7.5 for me as I started on Sunday, but wasn't raw or juicy in the am.....things are going well..... I gave up on the frozen juice...wasn't really liking it. The pulp would settle to the bottom and not mix in naturally....was kind of icky always had thick pulp sludge at the bottom of my glass. So now just making my juice the evening before...I use a greenstar and 12 hour old juice is just fine...even 24 hour old juice. It's still very good. Have been tempted a few times by some very yummy smelling and probably tasting foods...but my vision of total transformation is keeping me on track...it is my siren call......but think it totally sucks that all of thes yummy yummy cooked food creations are not to be in my world anymore....but instead of thinking about that...I also do realize there are so many yummy yummy simple raw foods to eat. Fresh berries, mangoes, pomegranetes, bananas, asparagus, corn, basil, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and on and on.....Viva la Difference!! Viva la Transformation Total!

Hi Patricia.....how are you doing? I am hanging in there...it's tax season...I work for accountants.....I am not an accountant...I just keep track of all their stuff.....process all of the finished returns, the incoming returns, the appts, the lunches, etc etc etc. So are you hugely busy with tax season yourself?

Luckily I do work for very good people. So...drinking my thawed frozen juices (not bad at all, though they do separate and the green ones have all the pulp at the bottom..... I drink most of it....figure it's good fiber for the colon...and just had some fresh young coconut juice..yum. My fresh juice today was the orange/grapefruit....and tonight...not sure if I am going green or orange (carrot...yum) could do carrot pineapple....or carrot orange....or carrot orange pineapple....or green green green....will definitely have all fresh juices over the weekend....not loving the frozen ones so much...but do love the time they save. Will see if they are good enough.....so still going strong....how about you? Feeling like a bit of emotional detox as well.....in an interesting space....wanting to make changes in my life........work wise and money wise and car wise...and life wise....family is good....but really don't want to be tied to a j.o.b...want to get something better going. Also...just seeing aspects of myself......interesting.....hoping to release and let go of my 'stuff'. Will be interesting to see all the changes that occur during this juice feastival!

Patricia,

Thanks for asking. I'm not sure how long I will juice. I am having a lot of pain and epigastric trouble lately and not sure how I should proceed. For now I am just going to juice until I see a naturopath, and then go from there in deciding whether to continue or stop.
