Juicy Day 68
It's a day to praise the lovely watermelon! I got a great melon at Fiesta market the other day. The check out lady said "Ohhh that's a good melon". I was relieved, because I still don't really know how to pick out a good one and I was hoping she was right. I've had crappy watermelons all year. I guess all the extra rain we had ruined the crops. Anyhow, this morning I cracked it open (and I mean cracked). I poked the knife in and it popped, just like a good melon should. Yay! I think it was the juiciest, nicest watermelon I've ever had. Not mushy, just firm and juicy. Ummm. I got 5 quarts of juice out of it!

Wow...just got don readin yer blogs..Keep it up! I am just a short way behind y'all, but lovin it. All the folks in front of me, keep shrinkin, and getting further ahead, faster.
