My bowels eventually got back to normal at the end of day 3, after the runs created by having the Cascara Sagrada. They have been a bit sluggish to start with though.
Food wise I found the closer I got to having normal food, the more I was tempted to hurry the process. I admit I did get a bit ahead of myself now and again on the feast breaking. I had a handful of sprouts on day 4, which I shouldn't have been eating till day 5. I also had a buckwheat cracker on day 5. The urge to try anything and everything was quite strong.
Now I'm on the first day of normal food again and I let rip a bit this morning with some buckwheat bread I made in the dehydrator, with some salad. Now I feel quite full and sluggish. I used to eat a lot of dehydrated stuff. My hubby loves it. Now I think it is too heavy for me. This afternoon I have sat down to a nice litre of green juice to hopefully get back on an even keel. Who'd have thought I'd have been so keen to get back to juice with all the food around?
One funny thing that has happened is my periods. I missed two while juice feasting. On day 4 of feast breaking I started my period. The first since February. Totally out of sync too. Missing them must have been down to juice feasting.
I must say, I'm missing juice feasting now. Missing being part of the GJF and just missing the whole schedule I was on. I wonder how it would have been had I continued? WOuld I have got over the hump I was stuck on? Don't know. Reading all the experiences people are having with Chanca Piedra I wondered if my constant hunger and general misery was down to that. I'm going to do the Parasite cleanse even though I'm no longer juice feasting, so started that today. I'll have to do both bottles of the stuff as I'm eating too. The para sweep that you don't take while juice feasting has psyllium and bentonite in it. That should sort out the sluggish bowels!
