raw women are so beautiful
I ask them their favorite colors, their favorite element, their favorite animal or spirit guide etc and I ask them to send me a poem or some music which really moves them. Once I have a composite of them, I meditate and 'live' into their being even before beginning to create their portrait, just letting Spirit guide me...and then it just happens!
