Greetings to all my friends and future friends,
I have been absent from the juice feasting community for quite a while, however, it was not by choice. On January 17th, 2009, I was rushed to the hospital after having suffered a stroke. The stroke effected my left side and I spent three months in a medical and rehabilitation care center. With daily therapy I went from a wheelchair, to a walker, to now, a four point cane. The next step is to walk on my own. I believe juice feasting and maintaining my 100% raw vegan lifestyle saved me from permanent damage or even death. During my stay in the care center, I was able to stay 100% raw. My family and loving friends supported me every step of the way. I even received a call from David Rainoshek who really put a smile back on my face. It was so nice to here his voice. He gave me both advice and support of which I am grateful. Hospital food is not what I would call healthy and nutritious. Salads consisted of Icebreg lettuce and maybe a few veggeis here and there. I believe they tried their very best with what they had to offer, and for that I am truly grateful. I had to have some of my raw food brought to me so I could maintain the quality of food I was used to eating. Now I know the true meaning of counting your blessings. I still have some progress to make with walking and using my left arm, and at times it may not be easy. The one thing I know for sure is that I am blessed and glad to be back.
Blessed Summer Solstice,
Tuliza
