Well, first of all, I can't write about this week without saying something about the Inauguration. It was so inspiring, and I feel so hopeful and joyful, really, about the fresh new, positive energy and vision I believe Obama is bringing to the White House. There are a lot of problems, but he seems unphased and determined. I'm going to try to remember that it's my job too, to pitch in and do my part, and I think one of the best ways I can contribute is to use the power of Intention to envision the change I want to see.
My fast was rudely interrupted a couple of evenings in a row by me giving in to a little bit of solid food, but you know what? I've been playin' around with fasting and cleansing for so many years, I decided it's totally okay! I had to do it for some reason, and I got right back in the game, and I'm still seeing wonderful results, so I don't feel like anything was lost. Won't keep doing it though-- that would be silly.
Today I felt this old craving for cultured cottage cheese calling, calling to me, and when I went to the Co-op to buy some groceries I just told that voice to calm down and shut up, and I searched for a substitute 'naughty' liquid treat that wouldn't be as bad. ;-)I decided I would allow myself a half gallon of pasteurized organic orange juice (oranges are just too expensive around here for juicing right now). I had a couple glasses of it today and it was wonderful. Cottage cheese cravings have faded into the background.
