Global Juice Feast

I've been looking forward for months to beginning the 2nd annual global juice feast. Due to personal circumstances, I've decided to begin my personal feast today.

I had eye surgery on February 5th, for that macular pucker issue I mentioned months ago. Prior to the surgery, I incorporated lots of juices and raw foods. During the recovery, I did the same - though I was a bit hampered by the fact that I had to remain face down pretty much 24/7 - and my husband had to prepare my juices.

When I saw my doctor last Friday he told me six times how pleased he was with the results of my surgery, and then said, "I really m ean it." I attribute this to prayer, and all the raw foods and juices. The blurriness in my vision is already gone, and there is no longer a hole in my macula. Hooray! It will be about three more weeks before we know the final results.

SO - for the next three weeks I am not allowed to return to work because I am a massage therapist - and the doctor doesn't want me doing physical work. I'm also not supposed to drive. What better time to begin my feast? I'm basically without obligations, and can meditate, walk, paint, and write to my heart's content.

I have no fears about the process this time, and am very much looking forward to it. I begin my day today with a quart of savory juice: nappa cabbage, red pepper, tomato, cucumber, orange beets & tops, and carrots. It's left over from last night. Then I'm heading into the kitchen to make up my next batch!

My heart is open and I embrace healing.

Mary, I coincidentally just started my juice feast today also. I plan on doing 16 weeks or 112 days. Let's stay in touch on our journeys! I am making some of my juice ahead of time and freezing....will see how I like that. I know I do like having less to do each day. That was one thing I found a bit tiresome....the length of time making juice each day. I still make fresh juice daily, but I also have something ready for each day, so I don't have to juice early in the mornings when I am more asleep than awake. I don't have any manifest health conditions I am trying to heal, just wanting to lose weight (40 lbs), have more energy clarity, etc...and transition into raw all the time....and not look back. I did a 17 day juice feast 2 yrs ago....not sure why I stopped as I was doing great! Just did.... your juice today sounds yummy. Talk to you tomorrow! Here's to love, life and healing.......ciao bella! Alessandra
