I've been looking forward for months to beginning the 2nd annual global juice feast. Due to personal circumstances, I've decided to begin my personal feast today.
I had eye surgery on February 5th, for that macular pucker issue I mentioned months ago. Prior to the surgery, I incorporated lots of juices and raw foods. During the recovery, I did the same - though I was a bit hampered by the fact that I had to remain face down pretty much 24/7 - and my husband had to prepare my juices.
When I saw my doctor last Friday he told me six times how pleased he was with the results of my surgery, and then said, "I really m ean it." I attribute this to prayer, and all the raw foods and juices. The blurriness in my vision is already gone, and there is no longer a hole in my macula. Hooray! It will be about three more weeks before we know the final results.
SO - for the next three weeks I am not allowed to return to work because I am a massage therapist - and the doctor doesn't want me doing physical work. I'm also not supposed to drive. What better time to begin my feast? I'm basically without obligations, and can meditate, walk, paint, and write to my heart's content.
I have no fears about the process this time, and am very much looking forward to it. I begin my day today with a quart of savory juice: nappa cabbage, red pepper, tomato, cucumber, orange beets & tops, and carrots. It's left over from last night. Then I'm heading into the kitchen to make up my next batch!
My heart is open and I embrace healing.
