This website is a lifesaver what with all of the support and connections. Thank you to everyone who is cheering me on and you are doing so amazingly well yourselves.. Last night I went to RawFoodTulsa....Penni Shelton's blog and went back to the start of her juice feast..sometime in April of 2008...she successfully completed a 92 day juice feast so I read all of her posts from Day One to Day 92....and got inspired by her words and her before and after pictures and also got alot of great juice recipes. So today I went to the store and got some variety....I bought fennel bulb, daikon radish, cilantro, a large leek, rainbow chard, red asparagus (new one to me....), and a carton of grape tomatoes, and a box of really good not just ok clementines. And I am going to get jiggy with my juice. Penni had a recipe for a juice she calls "Pico de Gallo"....
1 head of celery
carton of grape tomatoes
1 yellow onion
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 red bell pepper
1 lime
1/2 bunch spinach
1 cucumber
6 stalks of asparagus
1 jalapeno
pinch of salt
Makes 2 quarts.....this sounds very good to me, though I may use leek instead of yellow onion
I also want to see if pomegranetes are still to be found and juice some as I love reading about pomegranete juice...sure it is so yummy. Tonight I had coconut water and clementine juice (not together....) and I am making the pico de gallo for tomorrow. IThis should be really good but I also need more fruity juices.
Also.........last night I could not sleep. My head was full of thoughts.......good sorting out emotions and feelings and thoughts.....so even though I didn't sleep much.....it was a very productive night........if this is what juice feasting is like I look forward to more of it. This is one of the reasons I very much want to do this.....as I really would love to gain clarity, relate to people better, be totally transformed.......in all ways.
