Hello Kristi: I totally understand your reasons for transitioning from the JF. I too am an empath, and by week two of the JF I felt like I had post traumatic stress syndrome ( although I probably did ). I intuitively felt like something big was getting ready to emerge, and boy it did. I switched to a modified JF to prepare myself for it. I'll spare the details ( I blogged about it on this site a few days ago ), but I re-lived an abusive incident that happened when I was 13 months old in a dream. I am also so sensitive to other peoples and animals feelings that it can really feel uncomfortable at times. I'm still incredibly sensitive on a modified JF, but it feels more manageable. I just wanted to thank you for sharing and to share my own experience with you.
I just wanted to add that you look absolutely great and you shine from within... Your skin has a porcelain quality ... was it like that before the juice feast?
Hi Kristi,
I am on a modified juice feast right now, drinking at least two quarts of juice per day ... Still have emotional issues to clear up but will get to them later... I will go an a three week long vacation to my country of origin in a couple of weeks (first one in 7 years!!!) so do not want to get the whole 92 day program started.
When I come back I will commit to do a longer feast. I enjoy so much the vibe of the juice feasting community and my daily 2 quarts of green vegetable juice that I can not wait to come back and get really juicy :)
Your blog is great! I love it!!! It has been so cold in Chicago this winter. I long for some sunshine and warm weather.
How did you come to live in Alaska? Were you born there? It is such a fascinating piece of Earth. I hope the question is not too personal. Feel free to skip it if it is.
Juicy love,
Sonya
Hey, Beautiful Lady!!!! So happy to hear from you!. I went through some strong detox for the last 2 days... stayed away from the computer.
I am still not losing any weight. I think that ever since I started this feast 20 days ago - until now I lost something like 4 pounds and that's it...
So, you will do the green smoothie feast! That's a great decision! I think your body needs more cleansing! How were you reacting to solid food? My girl friend is doing the modified juice feast... she drinks something like 2 quarts of green & fruit juice a day, has smoothies and salads. It's working for her very well. But she is VERY skinny. I am worried she will get even skinnier - she does not eat nuts or seeds, but she eats avocados, coconuts, durians... etc. So I hope she will be OK. And I hope so for you too... are you thinking of becoming a liquidarian? You do not crave chewing food? Do you supplement with bee pollen? It is just if you want to conceive...maybe you should keep that in mind!
I think that after I finish this juice feast... I may continue on the modified juice feast for some time - smoothies and green salads... until I get rid of all the extra weight... and toxins... and mucus. This is what my girlfriend said when I complained to her I do not lose weight - maybe too much mucus in my body - even on the cellular level... and it has to cleanse and detox first... before the weight loss comes... will wait and see.
I am happy for your decision to go on with the modified juice feast... I think you body is indeed telling you it needs to detox some more...take care and good luck... and I am looking forward to following your modified juice feasting on your blog!!!!! Love, Nettle
That is such an amazingly beautiful profile photograph of you. With your red hair and that green surrounding you....you look like a wee little Irish angel!
Hey Kristi, thanks for stopping by and saying hello.... I really like your new georgeous photos!
I read you stopped your juicefeast after 40 days! That's quite something! Congratulations! On both - achieving 40 days and recognizing when the time was right for you to stop!
I liked reading how you are enjoying the spring in Alaska! It certainly must be very beautiful up there! (do you have some pics, perhaps)
My juice feast is coming along slowly but surely. Day by day. Today is the day 18. I cannot even imagine day 40 or even 92!!! But if i do not think about it too much and just take it one day at a time - I'll probably manage. I am doing fine on the feast - but I do get the desire to eat cooked food... but it is controllable, and I did not fall off the wagon. And it is not really the food I crave - it is the emotional 'feeling good' that comes along eating cooked food and socializing... so my life is changing completely from that perspective. And my friend is all sad that I will never eat junk food with him again...as for me there is no way back... only onward to better and healthier food and lifestyle.
I also noticed that I slowed down in everything. And my friends noticed that as well... I talk slower , my movements are slower, I walk slower, etc. My friend commented that this is the result of quitting coffee... and I think it is how I am supposed to be by nature - slower. Maybe my bing faster - or hyper - was because of all kinds of wrong foods and sugars, etc... so I am enjoying myself in my slowed down universe....!!! Take care and I hope to talk to you soon again ....
After three really rough days, I am nearly healed! I did a few things like, the clove oil, wheat grass poultice, and I have been flooding it with salt water and good energy. I didn't even go to the dentist this morning. Thank you so much for asking. I see you are finishing up your feast...way to go on a great ride!!
Thank you for the clove oil suggestion...I am in quite a bit of pain and I am thinking it's abscessed. I really don't want to take drugs or have to get surgery while I am juice feasting! This must be my challenge that David Rainoshek speaks about. I will go out and get the oil tonight.
Kristi,
Just read your blog... it's wonderful! Reading it I was thinking how great it is that you are loving and enjoying yourself and your body so much!!! I guess real love starts with us being able to love ourselves first...
I am glad you are doing so well on this juice feast!
Myself I have been juice feasting ever since march1st... and I intend to do it until the end of may - 92 days... or 100... like Philip... will see about it!
Take care and have a great weekend!!!

Hello,

Welcome to the Juice Feasting Japan group! Anyone is welcome to join. It is all about supporting each other in our quest to reacher or ultimate, highest selves. Whether you are in Japan or there at heart.
Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
