Good Morning Alessandra, Just checking in to see how you're doing today? Don't let a cold get you down. Your body is just needing some extra nurturing and TLC while it detoxes and adjusts. Hang in there girl! You'll be perkin' better than ever real soon! Take Care!
Hi Alessandra, you can do it.... i know you can do it :o) youve got the drive and determination and youve got the power in the knowledge that this works and is the most beautiful thing you can do for your body, mind, heart, soul, spirit.... you went for 13/14 days? right? thats alot and you should be so proud of yourself. and remember, you can call me anytime.... im here if you ever need to talk. or vent. or whatever. :o) its certainly not an easy endeavor but each time you are getting stronger in your resolve to do this. God allows u-turns and do-overs every single day.... so come jump back on the feasting train when you are ready :o) we'll welcome you with open arms :o) lots of Love and Light...patricia
how much are juicing each day? i keep feeling hungry and empty and that makes me tempted to eat.... im thinking if i up my juice intake so i dont ever feel hungry then it wont be such a struggle for me each day to try to keep my mind off of food. how much are you taking in??
I once read somewhere - i cant recall where - to try and think of great smelling foods as nothing more than scratch 'n sniffs.... it smells good but youd never put that scratch 'n sniff in your mouth....same thing for the good smelling toxic food. sometimes thats easier said than done but sometimes that thought really helps me to overcome my temptations.
as for your two frozen juice pops.... when they melt they are really nothing more than juice, right? :o) which gives me an idea.... juice some pineapple and/or some other juices and make pops out of them.... that might be a tastey way to have a little something different on this juice feast. hmmmm i might try that.
patricia :o)
I'm so glad you are feeling better, Alessandra. I've decided to go visit my daughter for a week. My doctor has told me to hold off until the 2nd week in March to go back to work - so this is the ideal time to go see her. (I had eye surgery on Feb. 5th). So - I will be out of pocket for a bit.
You're doing great! Keep up the good work!
hey, ya its pretty cool here in T.O, theres tuns to do. know i havnt read her blog ill get on that though. thank u so much for ur kind words.. well if ur ever here give me a shout, we can totally hook up.
Hi alessandra :o) Today is Day 9 for me...I started monday morning 2/16.... its going ok.... yesterday i was sooo tired all day. i couldnt wait for the day to be over so i could go to bed. its been interesting to see what i will feel from one day to the next... but like you i just keep thinking about the transformation that i want with this so i am going to see this through. I cant very well see the transformation if i dont, right? :o) i wish it was easy all the time, but i do get tempted and i do pout about not being able to enjoy freely all those bad foods.... but thats just it, they are bad foods that arent going to do anything positive for me.... so sometimes its more of a struggle to stick with this but i am going to make it. i want it too bad. and i love the light feeling. theres really no feeling in the world like being satiated on juice.
:o) YEA!!! DAY 9!!!!! :o) patricia
As to the tiredness - are you following the protocols David R. outlines on juicefeasting.com? If I were feeling that way I would wonder about two things: 1. Am I getting enough greens? (David's recommendation: 2 lbs. a day plus 1 whole head of celery)
2. Am I possibly going through a detox? Am I doing enemas to be sure that my body is not reabsorbing toxins being released?
I've had several types of juicers - I guess, thinking back, it was more in the beginning that I had this problem last year. Maybe it was the combos of juices I was making - as they were very hodgepodge back then! LOL
When we got our order from the produce coop last Tuesday, I realized that it was not going to work for me to juice 100% until the next order. I had not been planning to start juice feasting when I placed the order, and I have both refrigerators stuffed to the gills. I can do a LOT of juice - but just not 100% because of what's in the mix. So - I am having juicy days and gearing up for the feast to begin in early March. We get our next coop order on March 3rd, and I will have made my decisions with that in mind.
Sounds like you are doing SUPER!
I don't do my green juices much in advance simply because even just making them in the morning I can really tell a difference in the taste - seems like they get bitter.
Whatever works for you, though! Like I said, you are doing great.
hi alessandra :o) even though im an accountant i dont mess with taxes, except my own, so tax season doesnt effect me much.... month ends, quarter ends, and year ends are my big times. like you, its a j.o.b....its not my passion.... i am also certified in personal training and maybe someday i'll do something more on that full time... and even expand on that... like a life coach, or a nutritionist, or Doctor of Naturopathy... :o) all of that is more in line with where my passion lies...
day 6 for us!!!!! i feel good! i am starting to feel like i have a head/chest cold, which is typical for me for day 5/6. my nose goes from feeling stuffy to runny...and my chest feels full...congested kind of full. but i L O V E these feelings of cleansing.... it motivates me to keep going because i know its working. im starting to see mucus leaving my body...THATs always exciting :o) yippee!!! i feel determined. i am so glad you are doing this at the same time. like you, i am looking at all areas of my life that i need/want to cleanse... this is going to be a total life transformation for me. it will be exciting to see what life looks like at the end of this. :o)
Sounds good Alessandra - I was hoping to find someone else who was starting early - and we have similar goals. I'd also like to continue on til the end of the global feast. My confidence in my ability to do that is a little iffy - but it is my heart's desire.
I had a similar experience last year. I hit 15 days, I was feeling great, and then I ate. I remember thinking, "What are you doing? You can't really do this." - in other words, I was involved in mental self sabotage. Part of the problem was that I was a bit nervous about the whole thing. I continued to feast off and on til the end of last year's global feast - for stretches of from 2-5 days - but couldn't seem to get past a defeatist attitude because I had given up the first time.
This time around, I'm not afraid of the concept of giving up solid food. I know that the nutrition I am receiving is superior.
Dear Johnny,
Have you thought about Dr. Gabriel Cousens at The Tree of Life in Patagonia, Arizona? I know that's not in Cal, but after going there they do phone consults as follow ups. Gabriel has written many books on Live and Whole Food Nutrition…

Not feeling called to do a full Juice Feast? That's ok, neither am I.
David Rain suggested I do a Modified Juice Feast based on certain aspects of my health and life.
You don't have to follow any particular plan to do a Modified Juice Feast.
This group wants to assist and support each other by exchanging ideas on what tools we can use to realize
each of our goals especially the ones that worked for us personally.
